Free republic represents a very, very small sample of America.
The flubros have won here. It is not possible to plod through the thousand stories a day here, with all of them ranting and raving like little girls.
They post a story with bad information in it, and then 100 posts about how its all fake.
It is simply no longer worth coming here for information. The information is bad, the comments are horrific in their misinformation and just plain stupidity.
During the first couple of weeks this was one of the best sources for information on the internet. Smart people discussing and finding great information. Then people starting sticking words in our mouths, suggesting dire predictions none of us made, and dancing around like kids at a high school football game.
Intelligent people will go seek their information elsewhere. And there is no engagement.
This place has become the sanctuary for old bullies. There is no such thing as an agreeable disagreement. Or the possibility of even considering something that Trump or Rush said might not be true.
Those are the most dangerous people.

You know what it really is — those of us who are able to read and analysis and synthesize are tired of being pushed around by every two bit summer who posts a story to promote his beliefs. I am sorry but now that it appears you are wrong as well, you are taking your marbles and going to sit in your superior attitude of believing you are correct.
From the get go, you have posted emotional material, little factual. you and Danny and the others. You are classically transferring what YOU do to those who are now being shown as right.
Its time for you, too, to reveal your character. Are you someone capable of saying you were incorrect, or will you hold to the increasingly unsustainable stance that you have taken.

Well so far the pandemic is not living up to its scary billing. Did the lock down save the day? Impossible to tell, but the damage to the economy is real. We will see if it comes back like it was, but something tells me that so much damage has been done that it likely will not. People will die because of that, guaranteed.
