They’ll go to any length to justify their B.S. predictions of gloom and doom and keep everybody locked down under their boot. They still hope to make this into the Black Death.
The numbers were already being padded... now they will be padded more.
And there goes any serious attempt to retrospectively and objectively do an after action review to find out what worked, what didn’t, and how we should handle this next time.

A lot of posters here and other sites have thought that this entire thing was suspicious from the start. Kudos to you all who have never backed off that stance.
For healthcare facilities, there is a financial incentive. They get 15% more money for Wuhan virus cases than if someone is listed as dying of COPD, asthma or heart disease.

So, they need to keep the numbers up, gotta keep the fear up. The viability of the models is falling apart. People are realizing this whole thing has been blown way out of proportion. We've been played, we've been had. End this BS now!
So.
1. They are using standards different from any other infection.
2. They are now using different standards than when they first began for covid.
They can now falsely claim that the number of deaths continue to rise although it may be quite the opposite.

I simply don’t know. How do we explain all of those deaths in New York City?
When is Trump going to call this swamp out? It looks like never. He has all of its top bureaucrats - from CDC FDA NIH - standing with him at his briefings.
Trump ran against the swamp, but he hasn’t done mischief if anything to drain it. Just look at the people he’s put into FBI and CIA. Insiders and establishment Bushies to a man (or woman)

The number we see every day, posted like an election day vote tally, has no context. I’d like to see acute respiratory deaths vs. the median respiratory deaths for the same time period. It could conceivably be fewer deaths. The difference would certainly be a much smaller number.
Hopefully Trump steps in and says “Fine. But I still want the numbers of “proven Covid deaths” as a separate line item. Put them side by side when you present anywhere.”

With the new add ons for victims NY had 540 fatalities on the 17th and Cuomo announce it had 507 yesterday. So actual numbers are likely lower. And fatalities are a lagging indicator of the virus prevalence.
But...but...I thought CDC wanted to be rigorous, accurate and “precise in their data.”
Precise would be: Confirmed deaths; Probable deaths; Possible deaths: To lump then all into a single category doesn’t pass the smell test for people who can still think for themselves
