CARROLLTON, Ga. (WSAV) Two Georgia high school seniors have been expelled and will reportedly not graduate after posting a racist video on social media.
Two seniors at Carrollton High School posted the video on TikTok on Thursday, where it quickly went viral and spread across other social media platforms. The video shows the two students using the n-word and saying derogatory things about African Americans.
The students, one boy and one girl, can be seen in a bathroom mimicking a cooking show using labeled cups of water.
First, we have black, the girl can be heard saying, as the boy pours a cup of water in the sink. Next, we have dont have a dad.
The two then pour cups of water labeled Eat watermelon and fried chicken, Rob people, and Go to jail into the sink, and skip pouring a cup labeled Make good choices.
The students were quickly identified, and Carrollton City School District Superintendent Dr. Mark Albertus issued a statement Thursday night.
Please know this video is being addressed immediately and any student involved in the production of this video will face serious consequences, Albertus said.
Same thing I was thinking - along with “That was stupid.”
And yet - all the videos of rap music that student post, of a certain color, are not expelled?
I dont get the purpose of the watermelon and fried chicken reference. What does that have to do with bad choices? The whole thing was ill-thought out.
Seems to me if anyone really wanted these two idiots to suffer the consequences of their actions, they'd be allowed into school where those actions would have direct and severe consequences.
If only they had posted a Rap video where they be rappin’ bout bangin da hoes and cappin da Caspers
Woulda got a school achievement medal
...and the war on white people continues.
If they’ve completed their academic requirements with passing grades, I’d lawyer up. The school owes them a diploma.
Did they attend a government school?
Exactly.
Tik-Tok is stupid.
It's stereo-typing and its stupid. Watermelon happens to be my favorite summer fruit. I eat a metric ton of it every season. I'm Irish, German and Austrian. I'm as pasty white as it gets. Go figure.
A 15 second video on a Chinese platform? How is this news, who died?
Is there a rap soundtrack playing in the background? Most Tiktok videos use pre-existing music
And racist governor is still at the top in Virginia. He either posed in black face or in a Klansmans costume and nobody gives a F these days
If this didn’t happen at school I don’t see where the school has authority to do this. We are turning into China, by having a social report card of sorts. What’s next — you cheered Trump so we will penalize you. I see it coming.
If you see this as a war on white people, then its evident that these white people are suffering from self inflicted wounds.
The school shouldn’t have anything to do with it. They aren’t the courts, just liberals. If they can be singled out than any thing should be able to be singled out. Just more liberals on a power trip like some of the Governors. Get some good lawyers and get a bunch of money from that school system.
Saw this mentioned on the Volokh Conspiracy website last night.

Stupidity by students does not give the school district grounds to violate the students off campus or on campus free speech rights.
The actions in question were off campus, outside of school hours, and did not disrupt a school activity. The school then has no authority to discipline the students.
I guess that’s because the stereotype for decades was that African-Americans love fried chicken and watermelon...that must make me African-American because I LOVE eating both.
Social media claims another one.
