Matt Drudge Issues Rare Statement, Takes Aim At Trump

Conservative media giant Matt Drudge fired back at President Donald Trump, issuing a direct statement Saturday.

Trump said earlier in the day that he, like “many others” had lost faith in Drudge. “I gave up on Drudge (a really nice guy) long ago, as have many others. People are dropping off like flies!”

Drudge responded by giving a direct statement to CNN, saying in an email, “The past 30 days has been the most eyeballs in Drudge Report’s 26 year-history. Heartbreaking that it has been under such tragic circumstances.”

I thought Drudge sold his website and moved on. If any statement at all came from him I was expecting something along the lines of him selling. I guess that instead of selling he sold out. Too bad.

Yes, it's sickening how Drudge has sold out and gone to The Dark Side. My husband and I (and many friends) *cannot stand* the Drudge Report anymore.

It's puzzling to me why Rush Limbaugh continues to have the Drudge Report up on his giant monitor during his daily 3-hour radio show. Drudge is now effectively a left-wing news site.
