Newt Gingrich: Like Marie Antoinette, Princess Pelosi enjoys luxuries but ignores needs of desperate people
Fox News ^ | April 18,2020 | By Newt Gingrich

We are watching the birth of the job-killing, ice cream-eating liberal Democratic Party.

After a week of blocking more money for American small businesses, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., decided it would be effective to show up on “The Late Late Show with James Corden” on CBS to communicate her human side. It was a bizarre interview with the woman who stopped billions of dollars in aid for small businesses and their employees.

I served with three Democratic speakers of the House: Tip O’Neill, Jim Wright and Tom Foley. It would be unthinkable for one of them to be as tone-deaf as Pelosi. There she was, in front of her two Wolf Sub-Zero refrigerator-freezers. Frankly, my wife Callista knew what a Wolf Sub-Zero refrigerator was, but I sure did not. I Googled it.

The Marie Antoinette parallel is a little eerie. You may be pinching pennies and eating peanut butter and crackers, but her highness, the princess of San Francisco, is smothering her anxieties with $11.60-a-pint ice cream while making you go bankrupt.

James Woods tweeted: “Her two refrigerators cost together $24,000 for her specialty chocolate ice creams, but she hates the small business owners of America. Let them eat cake.”

The story that Marie Antoinette said “let ‘em eat cake” is an urban legend that probably originated from a 1765 memoir by Jean-Jacques Rousseau, who related the story of a “great princess” who said, “let ‘em eat brioche,” a fancy type of bread used today to make gourmet hamburgers.

Him mentioning Tip O’Neil pissed me off. I had a very big burning dislike of him and his buttbuddy Ted Kennedy. I drank a toast to the gods of good fortune the day they passed. Nancy has caught them both.

Apparently it’s too much to ask that conservatives stop propagating this malicious myth.

Big deal. People make mistakes and that one was not big one.

I’m amazed how easily people get bugs up their butt because of one relatively small mistake.

Grow up

Nanzi’s disastrous America/Constitution/Liberty/FReedom hating activities as Speaker of the US House of Representatives MUST become a HUGE teaching moment for EVERY American!

The lesson is this:

NEVER!

EVER!

ELECT!

ANOTHER!

DEMOCRAT!

He never believed it was “a mistake.” He didn’t do it for sh!ts and giggles. That stupid ad was part of a paid gig for Gingrich when he was working as a lobbyist for the “green energy” industry.

Newt Gingrich is the Republican poster boy for everything that is wrong with American government.

Her end will be as Marie Antoinette too.

Personally, I think the best we can hope for Nanzi is a firing squad.

“He never believed it was “a mistake.””

Wrong.

“The dumbest thing I’ve done in the last four years was sit on a couch with Nancy Pelosi,” Gingrich said, according to The Hill‘s Mike O’Brien. “I can’t defend it.”

Remember, Pelosi will never be asked hard questions with unending follow ups like Trump is asked, or any other Republican is asked by media propagandists. The optics of what Pelosi is doing is terrible. She would not survive this, if we had an honest media.

Oh, sure — it was a mistake. He’s still a lying sack of sh!t politician.

Did he give back the money he was paid to do that stupid ad?

It was not a mistake. The fact is, Newt was owned by Clinton and the liberal media, and this couch thingy was an overture to the Left. I understand it was years later, when Pelosi 1st became Speaker, but Newt still fell into that trap nevertheless.

Remember what I said: The worst thing a Republican can do is accept the premise that they are evil cretins and try to "reach out" or "moderate" to the Left. It just doesn't work. Trump is successful because he refuses to play the Left's game. Now I'm not taking nothing away from Newt, policy-wise he is a brilliant tactician. But he is horrible at the narrative and social culture.

To me firing squads give one the honor of a soldiers death, she doesn’t deserve anything more than the hanging earned by any other murderer or thief.

2008-2009 was not a great time for Gingrich.

In late 2009, he endorsed RINO Dede Scozzafava for the NY-23 special election without knowing who she was. When her true liberal leanings began to emerge, she dropped in the polls, eventually dropped out of the race, and endorsed her Democrat opponent instead of the leading Republican in the race.

Gingrich later apologized for that endorsement, too.

I can tell you that countless curses are being hurled and uttered against her for her abuse to the poor and the country.

The Bible teaches that it will not end well for those who oppress and exploit the poor and needy.

Republicans want to print money. Democrats don’t. Strange times we’re living in.
