Renewing an SSL certificate used to be easy. Basicly one click. Not necessarily so anymore. This one was a bear.
Anyway, it appears our certificate is up and we're officially secure again!
Thank you John!
Theres definitely nanny blocking that relies on Googles sense of morality for example, but the browsers tend to guard against sites with faulty certs. To your point, the not safe indicator for general HTTP traffic is becoming the norm, but the sites can still be browsed as far as Ive noticed.
BTW, I didnt consider your comments to be a knock against security :)

Thanks to both of you, Jim and John.
In the middle of this we bumped from 18% to 22%. Did some monthlies come in?
If so, our next goal is 1/4th of the way there......25%
Real easy fix too via an .htaccess file. I suggested already but
True... But don’t you need to have a certificate applied to the domain first for the script .htaccess file to see?
You definitely need an ssl certificate in place before using htaccess to do the redirect but it’s the browser that sees the certificate. The htaccess file just does a 301, permanent redirect from http to https.
Yeah, I just went through that with my website. The script has a feature in the ACP to set it as HTTPS but it didn’t work right and I had to go play with the .htaccess file to make it a permanent redirect.
Thank you both for all your hard work in trying to keep America free from tyrants, like the Left has in abundance.
Ninety-five percent of the news I read comes from FreeRepublic, and it’s probably the main reason I’ve kept my sanity over the years! Thanks again!
