Sunlight destroys virus quickly, new govt. tests find, but experts say pandemic could last through summer.

"But experts say..." I should be common sense that rather than being cooped up, being outside in the sun is both good for health and bad for a virus. Do we think that the reason there is a flu "season" usually in Winter is because the flu picks those months, or because more people are inside? Which is supposed to be the main solution for not spreading Covid.
Where is the money in that?
The same clymers erected Barry-cades on public grounds when President obama closed the government.
UV rays penetrate clouds and even rain. Its also stronger the closer you get to the equator. You might want to do a little research before acting like an azzhole.
It makes sense that a bat virus dies in sunlight.
Yep.... and the sun rises in the east.... water is wet etc.....
Almost all virus die in sunlight.....
BTW, intense UV light will kill it in seconds....
BTW, an intense UV light will kill it in seconds...
Yes. UVC specifically. But, intense UVC light is harmful to the eyes and skin. You can buy those bulbs but, you cannot be in the room when they are illuminated. There are special filter glasses you must wear when in the room.
Many of those bulbs come as kits with a remote control socket so you can turn the thing on and off after you’ve left the room.
I want duck season or rabbit season.
Baseball means nothing to me.
Buy some tan through stuff from Cooltan.com.
I want to know what the banks are doing to sanitize their stock in trade.
Guayaquil has 2.7 million people over 122 sq. miles of land. Population density 22,000/sq. mile. At 13 feet above sea level, there is not much UV sunlight. The poor neighborhoods have 50,000+ per square mile. That allows an average of 12 feet between people. Any travel requires you to get less than 6 feet from the nearest person. Walking one mile in the Guayaquil ghetto would put you within 6 feet of 850 different people. Ecuador - 456 dead (whole country) of 17 million. 26 deaths per million people. Compare to New York State - 901 deaths/million. New York City - even higher.
OTOH, Hong Kong reports just 4 deaths in 3 months. 7.5 million people on 1,060 square miles. Masks, gloves, and social isolation.
SOOOO__Forcing everyone to stay inside is keeping this going longer???
Just until election day then it will disappear
In Michigan, gardening stores are closed. You can still go to the liquor stores (open) and buy lottery tickets. And, somehow, Detriot is most affected.
We need sunlight on the Deep State. Maybe that will kill it.
95%+ of UV gets blocked by ozone. Still, it’s enough to kill an unprotected person in a few hours or less at the equator. Protection = clothes, hair, shade, tanned skin.
You’re probably right about a combination of poor habits and poor people causing a lot of problems. I have been checking out Cuenca because a lot of expats live there and they aren’t having anything close to the problems Guayaquil is.
Thank you, Elmer Fudd.
Don’t have anymore store bought masks but I have hung my old ones in my cars front mirror thinking the same thing.
