New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) said during a press briefing on Saturday that COVID-19 hospitalizations are "starting to descend" while also calling for more testing throughout the state.
The governor cited models depicting a decline in hospitalizations and ICU admissions related to the illness for the past three days, adding that medical facilities are no longer reporting that they are at "max capacity."
Cuomo also highlighted that the rates of intubation – the process of placing COVID-19 patients on breathing ventilators – are down, too.
"The probability is about 80 percent that you won't come off a ventilator after you [are] put one on," Cuomo said, calling the descending rates "good news."
He added that the state is still reporting 2,000 new COVID-19 hospitalizations daily, saying the situation is "sobering" as 540 more New Yorkers lost their lives to the virus on Friday.

Maybe Cuomo should be giving these people the drug combo instead of putting them on ventilators, but NAH, putting them on ventilators means the hospital gets 35K cant pass that up

Same here in LA County, people dropping like flies in hospitals, they just stick em on a ventilator and wait for them to croak, no treatment..meanwhile in OC the death numbers are much much less, why, because UCI and other hospitals in the area are treating them with hydroxy combo and other drug remedies

Every time I try to watch TV to avoid boredom, this guy is pontificating and fielding soft ball questions from the press to build his image. The answer is unfortunately yes because he’s being given a free pass by the press.
They should ask him why the deaths per million New York citizens is approaching 1,000 and is over that for the city. There is no country that comes even close to those numbers. Spain and Italy are half that figure.
New York alone is responsible for the US pandemic crisis.
