The Chris Plante Show, April 13th - April 17th, 2020, Mon-Fri, 9am-12noon EST. WMAL-105.9 FM

He's on-the-air. One of America's very best Talk Radio Show Hosts, IMO: Chris Plante from WMAL in DC. His show is the "prep work" for many other shows. And, unlike the others, he pulls no punches, tells it like it is and doesn't take any guff from liberal, leftist or commie/socialist/fascist callers. He's the guy we'd all like to sit down with and have a cheeseburger and a cold one, while talking about the state of America, and the crazies who are pulling the strings, behind-the-scenes. Get a fresh refill of your favorite coffee, a warm croissant, the Hoppe's Cleaning Kit for one of your favorite firearms, some mags to load, hang your "Trump 2020" sign in the front window, and settle-in for the next 3hrs of incisive listening fun.

Chris Plante joined the WMAL team after 17 years at CNN including nearly ten years assigned to the Pentagon covering the U.S. military and intelligence community.

Chris was assigned variously as Pentagon Correspondent, Senior Producer for National Security Affairs, Military Affairs Producer and as an assignment editor. He travelled extensively for CNN covering defense related stories from Saudi Arabia in 1990 and Bosnia in 1995, to Vietnam, Indonesia, Africa and the remote corners of the former Soviet Union.

Chris received the Edward R. Murrow Award from the Radio and Television News Directors’ Association (RTNDA) for his reporting from the Pentagon during the terrorist attacks on September 11th, 2001.

Chris formerly hosted his own program on the The American Life television network, and nowadays makes frequent appearances on various cable news networks including the Fox News Channel, and the Fake News CNN and MSNBC.

In his time with WMAL, Chris has helped raise significant amounts of money for charities like the Fisher House Foundation.

Representing the third generation of his family that has been “on-the-air” in radio and television, Chris brings a unique world-view, and largely conservative/libertarian values to his role as talk show host on WMAL.

Marching in lock-step with no politician, Chris says his political party is “Practi-crat”, “… because of my distinctly practical political leanings”.

Good morning, carriage_hill. Delicious hot coffee this morning, but that phone call from the mechanic was distressing. Poor guy.

Yes it was. Multiply him by thousands, if not more, and it’s becoming a national tragedy.

CH - May I suggest that you post a thread on a Monday, and update it every day thru Friday instead of posting a new thread every day. So, every morning, copy & paste the ping list names on to the last post of the day before.

Just my two cents’ worth. Thanks for all you do!

Good idea; that’s what we do for the Rush thread, and I started to do with the CP Thread, but some people wanted a fresh post every day. So I caved this week.

Next week, I’ll take your advice and just do a weekly 5-day thread, updating it daily. Thanks for the suggestion.

I am aware of people who are struggling, and their 1,200 has not showed up yet, no real way to contact the IRS about it either, at least not that I am aware of.

Mine hasn’t arrived yet, either, but I don’t need it or want it. So I’m going to donate it. Just haven’t figured out whether to give part to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital, PSU-Hershey Children’s Hospital and Fisher House.

I also keep checking the local paper online, to see if a local family or Vet is having problems, so I could help, but no stories yet.

I read about a little old lady the other day who used her money to purchase PPE for nurses.

I’m pretty sure this was the lady who had 8.5 million deposited into her account by IRS. Of course, that money was not spent by her and was returned.

PPE?
Personal Protective Equipment?
Masks, gowns, face shields?

I’m checking Amazon now for PPE, and have a call into the local York Hospital Administrator, where I’ve been a patient many times over the past 3yrs, to find out what the procedure is. I’d hate to have all that equipment delivered and refused, since it didn’t come thru their approved suppliers.

I was also thinking of 100 lg cheese pizzas for their lunches, but the Hospital Cafeteria might frown on that, and they probably don’t allow other than Food Service Dept food on the floors.

I’ll get it worked out, one way of another.

I also just heard on radio news that a particular hospital somewhere, cannot recall the name, is forbidding its employees from bringing n95 masks from home, because the hospital cannot guarantee that they prevent transmission of China’s Gift, because they are not hospital approved, so the staff wears nothing instead, or risks being fired.

So there is pointless bureaucracy to be contended with in such an endeavor.

The Medical Industry is often worse than the Gov’t Bureaucracy.

Some people want a fresh post each day, but sometimes we need to refer to posts from the day before & stuff like that.

Have a Fantabulous Weekend!

I’m am at an acute disadvantage here on the west coast. You’re all gone before I go up to the computer to comment. My sour grapes for the day.

My nomination for best zinger for the day, “National Panhandlers Association.” Brought a smile and I hadn’t heard him use it before.

“NPR = National Panhandlers Radio.”

I’m all in for the weekly post, and LonePalm and I have been helping Biggirl do that for a while now.
