Coronaviruses have been around forever.
The issue right now is the particular Chinese lab strain COVID-19.
I’m now fairly certain I caught this at the end of November.
You are correct... every state wants it's share of the trillions of dollars up for grabs.
We live in the part of Washington State where the first deaths from this occurred. My wife and I were both paid and volunteered at the ill fated Life Care Center in Kirkland. In the midst of this my brother-in-law was put on hospice care because he had an inoperable cancerous brain tumor. His cause of death was “respiratory failure” which means despite his brain cancer, by CDC guidelines he was counted as a “presumed covid 19” death. Yes it's asinine but that is what is happening all across the country.
The democrats are salivating at all the new unemployed voters they will have.
Exactly this is the sickening.
I figured it out. The answer is in my signature. Very disappointed at how easily liberty was pushed aside by the safety seekers.

Anyone with common sense can see this suicidal economic depression underway. No math or science needed to know how bad this is about to get. Will make many people wish for death.
All you need to know is that historically, the Great Depression has been referenced 10,000 to 1 over the Spanish Flu. That gives you an indication of the psychological toll of it. People are about to learn firsthand now. Going to be a bumpy ride for most. The good part will be, that anyone suggesting an intentional shutdown in the next 50 years, will be immediately rebuked.
It was Giant Mistake #1 by Trump to shut down the country. But at least it was made in good faith. Turns out the data was bad and models completely, absolutely wrong. Hospitals were not overrun; patients were not dying in the hallways from lack of care.
Once that was apparent, there was no reason to keep the shutdown going. An immediate reversal was required. Flip the switch completely. Let locals do their local lockdowns if they get local treatment overruns (not “hotspots,” but deaths in hallways). Everyone else, no restrictions. Just encourage social distancing, and self quarantine of old folks. Open the schools immediately.
But Trump is sticking with the gradual reopening. This is is Giant Mistake #2. But this time, it’s made with good information. The coming economic wreckage is 100% Trump’s fault.
The Governors shut down the country, not Trump.
Completely agree with you. We are in uncharted waters yet nobody in charge seems to have the sense of urgency that this situation call for.
If the economy has crashed by November, his re-election will be in trouble. Then the Democrats get to come in and go full steam ahead with socialism....which will make today's economy look great.

YES! In FL, Gov Desantis added 100(!) servers to the unemployment claims system. And the 1000(!) people answering phones (to apply that way), he’s doubling.

Personally I believe the virus is real and hits people over 55 the worst, it is not the end of world with people dying in the streets, but reducing the average human life expectancy since this effects people over 55 the most.
You can not shut down your money source (economy) to fight the virus. In order to win a war you need resources (money).
More people will die from shutting down the economy. Lost of Jobs means the lost of Heath Insurance, food, and housing. It is not like you can find a new job quickly when there are none.
This is the Lefts wet dream.. Total dependence on the government.

I wasn’t able to listen to the entire show yesterday. Just double checking.
I don’t know how a corona vaccine will work out, but there are so many strains of flu that the vaccine doesn’t cover many of them. If it mutates quickly it will be useless. My wife, who is a nurse has told me exactly how many types of flu the vaccine is for,and how many it doesn’t work on and neither of us bother to take it. I’m never sick.
