Casino Royale has been crowned the best James Bond movie of all time.

Daniel Craig's first role in the tux, from 2006, scooped the most votes in a poll set up by IMDb, beating Pierce Brosnan's GoldenEye.

In fact, with Casino Royale and GoldenEye as the two finalists, Royale won by a convincing 70.8% to 29.2%, with nearly 4,500 votes being cast.

Classic Bond instalments Goldfinger and Dr. No were beaten to the final by the more recent movies in the polling.

IMDb set up some kind of bracket resembling March Madness bracket...

CASINO ROYALE was really good but not the best Bond film...

How about FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE or GOLDFINGER?

"Casino Royale"?

That's a strange way to spell "Goldfinger".

The results probably had more to do with the ages of the responders than the quality of the films.

absurd. Did anyone over 35 vote in this poll? never mind. Goldfinger by far the best. and, in case you missed it, RIP Pussy Galore.

You’re right but it also has the best Bond. I’d like to know the age breakdown of the people polled. After Sean Connery I lost interest.

Incredible coincidence.

I just now finished watching “The World Is Not Enough.”

The very next thing I did was log on to FR, and saw this thread.

I’d still rate Goldfinger #1, with Connery #1 Bond and Pierce Brosnan a close second.

JMO.

Ursula Andress -- I think she was in Dr. No. The MAD Magazine spoof called her Ursula Undress...

I always thought that Robert Vaughn as Napoleon Solo (The Man from U.N.C.L.E.) would've made a good Bond:

The thing Daniel Craig brought to the role was a return to the grittiness of the Bond from the original books.

TWINE is a fine Bond film...I do have the DVD.

Theme song, by Garbage, was fine.

Ladies...Not too bad...Maria Grazia Cucinotta and Sophie Marceau were fine...Denise Richards was average...

One line I remember from the film:

“Christmas only comes once a year”.

Denise Richards played Dr. Christmas Jones...There was a good reason for screenwriters to make her character’s first name “Christmas”...

I think David McCallum is still on NCIS...

I have not watched U.N.C.L.E. with Armie Hammer and Henry Caville yet...

Wow! YouTube has the fifties TV version of “Casino Royale”.
Not bad really, -has the beauteous Linda Christian as the first ‘Bond girl’.

Thunderball is the best IMHO, although Diamonds are Forever is my favorite, Probably because of Jill St. John

“On Her Majesty’s Secret Service” is the best.

The comedy “Casino Royale” is better than the Blonde Thug version (although it does have Eva Green, so it has that going for it).
