WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The top U.S. infectious disease expert Anthony Fauci said on Tuesday that a May 1 target date for reopening the economy was “a bit overly optimistic,” citing a lack of critical testing and tracing procedures. “We have to have something in place that is efficient and that we can rely on, and we’re not there yet,” Fauci, head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, told The Associated Press in an interview.

I hate the term “reopening the economy.” How about “ending mass house arrest” and “ending the enforced boycott of businesses.”

It definitely makes sense that a technical advisor like this should be heads down working and not wasting time in these briefings. Pence and Trump (if he wants) should handle the briefings.

The US doesn’t need a top down, one-size fits all solution.
Many States don’t need that internally either.

I believe Fauci believes in what he’s been told by his underlings.
But, his underling’s understanding of math models appear to have garnered them D- grades in their math classes. That’s IF physicians take much advanced stats and non linear equations at all.
And the liberals used to argue about how inhumane it was to indefinitely hold terrorists prisoner.
