OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) — The 10th Circuit Court of Appeals let stand a lower court’s decision temporarily blocking Gov. Kevin Stitt’s ban on abortion care in Oklahoma during the coronavirus pandemic.
This means abortion providers in the state can continue providing essential, time-sensitive abortion care.
Abortion providers will now seek a preliminary injunction from the district court which will continue to block the ban from taking effect until the case concludes.
“Today Oklahomans can breathe a temporary sigh of relief. But the fight is not over. Instead of responding to the COVID-19 pandemic, Gov. Stitt is wasting valuable time and resources to attack essential, time-sensitive abortion services that cannot wait for a pandemic to pass,” said Alexis McGill Johnson, acting president and CEO, Planned Parenthood Federation of America. “Gov. Stitt’s relentless attacks on health care access during a public health crisis is making a dire situation even worse. We won’t stand for it. Planned Parenthood will continue to fight these cruel attacks on the abortion services our patients need in Oklahoma and across the country — no matter what.”

The three judges on the 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals refused on a technicality to consider the merits of the issue.
Oklahoma officials were challenging a ruling last week in Oklahoma City federal court.
The three-judge panel of Carlos Lucero (Rapin Bill judge), Robert Bacharach (ClownBammy judge), and Nancy Moritz (ClownBammy judge) "ruled" as expected.
And in actual cases where the there is the possibility of death or severe injury to the mother, the medical or surgical procedures needed to prevent the mother's death have never morally or legally been defined as "abortion" in any case. I'm speaking of ectopic pregnancy, cervical or uterine cancer, etc. where the uterus or Fallopian tubes are removed, with the subsequent demise of the child.
Genuinely therapeutic treatment for the mother's underlying dangerous condition (like radiation or chemo) is not morally or legally abortion even if it is foreseeable that it could trigger a miscarriage.
The Democrat craves the mutilated baby.
