New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has rebuked President Trump's claims that he has blanket authority to order a reopening of the country. In a heated press conference inside the White House on Monday evening, Trump asserted that his office holds 'absolute power' over the shutdowns But Cuomo said later Monday that the last time he checked the US had 'a constitution...not a king'. The governor went on to accuse Trump of an 'abrogation of the Constitution', before threatening the president with a lawsuit should he put New Yorkers at risk. 'The close down was left to the governors to do individually state by state. Now the reopen should be total authority? That makes no sense,' Cuomo said. In a heated press briefing, Trump launched a furious attack on the media and screened a White House-produced video praising his response to the virus.

Yep - he knows what they asked for and got, and how it conflicts with their current complaints about the mere declaration of the powers he actually has...thank God it isn’t Obama in the WH...

Odd, when Cuomo failed to but ventilators he demanded them from Trump thinking he was a king.
Yep, and the Blue states like NY want 15 billion to bail out their budgets, I guess they want the king to play a ransom.

POTUS was asked point blank if Jared & Ivanka were on the Task force and he said “NO”. I think he even said it twice.
Drive-by media puts things out there to divide the right. They know there is an anti-Ivanka & Jared contingent in Trump’s base.
They have also worked hard to demean Ivanka and Jared with the left.
I always ask: if the progs really hate some people, why?
Even if some dislike/distrust Ivanaka and Jared,they need to examine the information used to make the decision. If it’s gut feeling based on looks, lifestyle and circle of friends, maybe it’s being leveraged against us all.

Mobster Cuomo has been on TV, all three networks, having his daily briefing. He’s doubling down saying Trump has no power over governors and Trump is not a king, blah, blah, blah. It’s Trump that shouldn’t take bait, but he will and this spat will dominate today’s virus briefing. Trump will say in times of national emergency he’s has absolute authority, which basically he does. So I’ve got one thing to say about this. If Trump has no power Cuomo needs to shut up begging him for 150 billion dollars to “reopen NY State”. He can pull the money out of his ass he’s stolen from NY state citizens since he became NY’s king for life.
I think they all need to work together. I think maybe one thinks the other will open to soon. That is why a task force with various participants will help solve the issue.
Trump didn’t say what they claim he said. He said that governors are the ones who closed their states, and will open their states.
He just said that it is HIS job to make a decision about opening.
It is then the governor’s job to follow the plan, or not, as they see fit. Except they will be crazy not to follow the plan.
The dimrat governors will open up their states despite their protests. Their coffers are running dry and they need the money to bribe er, reward their friends. Plus there is the cost of the care and feeding of their voters.
I figure all the states will loosen up when they see the pitchforks and torches moving towards the capital. I would be surprised if we were not close to that right about now.
I give it two weeks, if most of the rather stupid restrictions are not lifted people will stop adhering to the guidelines, in a fairly massive way.
Iook forward to the day King Cuomo is deposed. Hope he does not end up burned at the stake in Central park.
