As thousands of restaurants across the country close down over the coronavirus pandemic and stop discarding their leftovers outside, rats are becoming so starving that they are resorting to all out battles and even cannibalism to survive, according to a rodentologist.

Ironically I was reading a science article last night and on Very Rare occasion a female rat will eat offspring.

The rare occasion being lack of other food.

Especially NYC rats. Anybody who had a night out on the town in NYC knows the uneasy feeling of walking out of the restaurant late at night and seeing the dark shadows of the big rats scurrying down the alleys and along the sidewalks.

It's often said there are more rats than humans in NYC. Probably true but who volunteers to do a rat census?

In farm life this is a familiar scene-— one traps barn rats, and the next morning find the entrapped rats eaten by their own species. Cannibals by nature and habit. JUST like the demonrat party.
