EXCLUSIVE: NHS England Medical Director Stephen Powis said getting through pandemic 'will be a marathon' rather than a 'sprint' and a cure for coronavirus will need to be found before normal life can resume

These medical experts are prats. How did the world stumble along before they came on the scene. Somehow we made it through plagues, pandemics, AIDS. Never did we stay in until there was a “cure”.
Hydroxychloroquine + zinc, add Axithromucin or doxycycline as needed.
Azithromycin ... need coffee!
I am considered essential and am still working.
The lock down is not hard - but soft. While many things and jobs are closed people in my area are still out and about.
Driving, at gas stations, Post Office, food stores, drug stores, tobacco stores, State ABC stores, etc. All of those places have people working in them.
Many of the restaurants are doing take out only, Pizza places doing good business.
So in any given area a good number of the population are out and moving about.
Time to start slowly opening back up.
Let's look back....Anthrax...and what did the government do??
IIRC, They lined up Congress and EVERYONE got CIPRO.
How many of us got CIPRO. No...we had to put our mail in the sun...and no one offered us CIPRO.
I learned a lesson with that one, too.
I wonder how much of this has to do with Brexit...
I'm already crudely treating myself with this. I drink tonic water (which has quinine), plus I take multivitamins that contain a total of 25 mg of zinc, every day. I'm building my body up so that if the Chicom virus does get me, I'll be one of the 80% who are asymptomatic.
I remembered one biggie and that was that Congress was given Cipro which was expensive at the time. You could have used Penicillin which was dirt cheap.
As it turns out, Cipro became the drug of choice and giving it to Congress "was the Clinical Trial".
We're certainly watching the same pattern here.
And when that day comes, England's standard of living will be at the same level as that of Chad, Djibouti or Congo Kinshasa.
This guy is clearly, obviously, in with Bill Gates and the Vaxer mob, just like Fauci and his underling Deborah Birx.
Name one virus that has an actual “cure”... just one.
Also - many viruses NEVER end up with a workable and effective vaccine (HIV being a prime example). Some might legitimately say the annual flu is another -
I wonder once Boris Johnson is fully recovered and OK again, he will be able to take a good look at what can realistically be done. Likely this healthcrat does not have all of the answers.
If that happens, the people of the UK will have no choice but to revolt. I’m assuming there’s a thriving black market over there, through which weapons could be acquired.
One thing you don’t want to do is to truly piss off a Brit. They’re descended from over 1000 years of berserkers that even the Romans feared. They’ve been conditioned since WW II to be obedient little sheep, but if push really does come to shove, I’d much rather be over here than in their path.
Yet Russia and China are fine. How odd
The Brits will never use this (at least, not on the proletariat) because of TDS.
The current CDC guideline is to count anyone who dies from respiratory distress as a presumptive “covid-19” death. This is now standard practice almost everywhere. The death count is inflated.
The fire department that I retired from had 11 members test positive recently, only one had any symptoms. Other than celebrities and politicians in most places in the country it is difficult to get a test if you are young and have no symptoms even if you believe that you may have had an exposure. The current tests given in this country only tells whether a person has had an exposure that was recent enough that the person is still fighting it off. After a couple of weeks most people who have had it no longer test positive. So the number of people who have been exposed is undercounted... The ratio of an inflated death count to an undercounted number of exposed makes the lethality of this illness seem much worse than it is.
Unfortunately almost all respiratory viruses are lethal to certain percentage of vulnerable groups of people, and they take a toll that varies from year to year. My wife is a retired nurse and department head at multi-level skill facilities and I am a retired fire officer. During our careers we both experienced years when something that caused the sniffles in most people killed a lot of vulnerable people. Other than the worldwide media hype and draconian government reaction neither of us have any sense that this year the overall rate of vulnerable people dying is any worse than normal.
What we have is a virus that is likely no more lethal than many types of flu bugs but may be more communicable. What this means is that most people will get it no matter what governments around the world do, but that vulnerable people will die and the majority will develop a natural immunity and this too will fade away on its own. In other words it will have the common bell curve of unpleasantness that other respiratory viruses have when they make the rounds in a community during flu season.
What we have that is significant this year that is more significant than the virus is a huge case of mass hysteria, something that happens occasionally. This time we have idiot politicians reacting to the over-hyped media frenzy wanting to destroy the world’s economy over something that happens on a reoccurring and frequent basis.
The real kick is on the entertainment industry. All the major movie studios are losing on their bigger source of revenue in the form of theme parks. If we keep everything closed all year, then everyone will be too poor to buy the toys too. Which leads me to wonder why the libs like to shut down and destroy the industry that overwhelmingly supports them?
