And they’re likely to get more stuck as the primaries continue, regardless of the format, since Biden’s now sure to run up a majority of the delegates, giving him an iron clad win. Now he’ll either have to withdraw voluntarily or suffer such a serious health crisis that he’s physically unable to run.

By Mid October Trump will have prepared campaign adds, and anyone with a whiff of suggesting or ordering the use of hydroxychloroquine or hoarding supplies from their own citizenry will not want to be running for office.

Might happen, but unlikely. When Biden goes into the convention with a majority of the delegates, having won them in the primaries, he’s got the nomination unless he either voluntarily withdraws, suffers a hopeless health crisis, or is assassinated, none of which is likely to happen.

I'm sure the Democrats are capable of ensuring that either one of those two options can be arranged.
Maybe if he doesn't withdraw voluntarily, he will suddenly be diagnosed with a case of COD-19 and, sadly, will succumb to it because of his advanced age. Then the Democrats can blame Trump for Biden's passing because Trump botched the handling of the pandemic. And then the Dems could use that as an excuse to start Impeachment 2.0 just in time for the election.
I know that sounds crazy, but then again we ARE talking about Democrats.

You have raised an excellent point; I believe there is a mechanism for the party to replace a candidate with another.
So FREEPERS who are familiar with elections laws: can the DNC replace Biden with someone else even up to the day of the election?
Also, remember when we vote for President/Vice President we are actually voting for the electors.
