Long forgotten is the 100,000 NEW deaths prediction over the next two weeks made by Dr Doom on 3/30/20 if we stay vigilant and adhere to the guidelines. But Dr Doom still polls much higher than Trump in all the polls on the trust question.

these turkeys have zero credibility after getting it wrong big-time, when they were relied-upon to get it right ...
they were the ones who effectively put the US on lockdown, with their irresponsible claims of 2 million dead (or whatever it was)
If you check the deaths chart at https://covid19.healthdata.org/united-states-of-america, I think IHME may still be padding the numbers - showing the curve much slower to fall than it was to rise. That’s not what they’re showing for Spain or Italy.

I can’t think of even one of the models that has been remotely close to anything near the numbers on the ground.
If we continue the shutdown and fail to get the spring planting done, far more than 60,000 people will die, come next winter.

Data published the end of march projected peak deaths for Colorado on the 16th will be 2,800.
The current number of TOTAL deaths is 250, with 24 today.

The rest of the country seems to have peaked already, but count on NY state and NJ to keep to come in with the standard 1,000 fatalities between them.
