New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has joined Donald Trump in blasting the World Health Organization for being too slow to warn of the danger posed by coronavirus. Speaking at his daily press conference on Friday, Governor Cuomo said: ‘Where were the warning signs? Who should have blown the whistle?
‘The president has asked this question, and I think he’s right. The president’s answer is the World Health Organization should’ve been blowing the whistle…Where were the international experts saying, “Well if this is happening there, this is what we should expect to happen in the United States or prepare to happen in the United States’?”
‘Did we really need to be in this situation where the United States winds up having a higher number of cases than the places that came before?’ Cuomo, a Democrat who has previously criticized Trump, added that his work as a state governor meant that he was not as involved with foreign policy as the President.
But he insisted Trump was right to ask why the WHO, a branch of the United Nations, did not issue formal warnings to member states about the potential threat of coronavirus as soon as reports began to emerge from China in December. On Friday, President Trump himself teased an announcement about the USA’s $500million annual contribution to the WHO, but said he would announce his plans formally next week.

What the heck??? I thought the developing liberal view, was that Trump ignored clear warnings of this virus. For example, Hillary said Trump delayed action and minimized the danger for 70 days.
So how does this make sense. If there were such clear warnings that Trump ignored, how can a good Democrat such as Cuomo now say that the World Health Organization failed to warn us of dangers?
Trump was very upbeat on Cuomo in the press briefing just minutes ago. He said that he had developed a close relationship with him and how ironic it was.
Got to save face since he wants to run for President.
