Dr. Death (Ezekiel Emanuel) is 62 years old.
Not old enough. Early 60s. The fact of the matter is, it is none of his f.....business how old I live to be, or you, or anyone.
My father is 90. My FIL is 95. Both have their wits about them, and are passionately attached to their lives. As they should be. Part of the 2A is keep SOBs like EE at bay.
It is another reason why we the gov’t out of health care. The NHS in UK, on a daily basis, denies life extending care to the elderly. And the definition of life extending grows daily.
Dr. Death would like to push grandma over the cliff when she turns 75.
Looks like Biden is enjoying the snoot-full he’s getting.
Previously he was the death panel guy who wanted us all to off ourselves at the age of 75.
That's a big contradiction.
Obviously, he has other motives.
The guy wants to destroy capitalism and our country as we know it.
estimating thats when a Chinese coronavirus vaccine could be broadly available.
My mom is 98 going on 20.
Zeke is a such great choice for an adviser for Biden when a so-called pneumonia virus, SARS CoV2, allegedly attacks the elderly disproportionately! (set aside the possibility it’s all a scam which has allowed pneumonia deaths to be counted as COVID)
will FakeNewsMSM ever disclose Zeke’s opinion, as espoused in The Atlantic, and tell Biden to drop him? no.
“He once wrote a piece titled, Why I Hope to Die at 75. “
This guy’s supposed to be some kind of policy genius, and a medical doc to boot, yet apparently he can’t figure out how to fulfill his hopes. Hey, jerkoff, I’ve got news for you - if you know anything about your business, you don’t have to do any hoping at all - your statement should read “Why I *Plan* to Die at 75”. Put up or shut up (preferably both).
I played caregiver for my mom for the last 3-1/2 years of her life and watched her draw her last breath at the age of 96. I get it. Though she put on her game face for all visitors, friends, my siblings and grandkids alike.... and I cherished every moment I shared with her... she struggled with her emotions and her physical deterioration.
In quiet conversation, she recounted her life in every detail and the memories of her youth and meeting the man of her dreams, my dad, who had passed away fifteen years earlier. And she so much wanted to be with him again.
Mom wanted to join my dad and all my aunts and uncles who preceded her to heaven. She would look into the sky with a feint smile and lament that she must be missing one heck of a party. I would tell her not to worry, they can wait.
A long, long story, short. Mom would have agreed as well. She lived it. You treat your body right, live clean, don't drink or smoke and get plenty of exercise, you can live an extra 10 years. But what they don't mention is it's the last 10 years and all your friends are gone...
So the government should have offed her for her own good?
Yup, watch your six, Joe.
NO!
Reminds me of my 93 year-old father being shocked at reading FR articles about the debaucherous decline of western culture. He’ll shake his head and say “I have lived too long”.
I did not say that the government should be involved in any way. Though I do agree with the general statement that living too long can also be a loss... to an elder family member and their loved ones who selfishly wish and do everything they can, so their loved one could live forever. But, no, despite your feeble attempt to start an argument, I wouldn’t put it in the terms of how government should be able to dictate one’s life limitations.
Enjoy!
Gropin' Joe is 77. Is Zeke Kevorkian advising him on the Thanatron placement?
Good post...
My husband went through the same kind of thing with his dying father, and greatly values the experience and what it has meant to his own wisdom and personal development.
So many people these days seem to want to separate themselves from the deep, meaningful ‘bones’ and essence of life - of which aging and death are inseparable parts.
They have no idea of what they lose in the process.
