I have a problem with what she did but she just may have saved her life.
I’ve got to refresh my memory about all of this. But as I recall, the Clinton plan to suborn perjury was upset, when we learned there were taped conversations between Linda Tripp and Monica, AND, when we learned there was a dress with smoking gun evidence, which the Clintonistas could not simply dispose of, because it wasn’t in their possession.
“I have a problem with what she did but she just may have saved her life.”
Why.....It took a helluva lotta guts.
Reviled by the left but a hero. They fed her into the media meat grinder and subjected her to unceasing ridicule for the sin of putting the spotlight on a Rat sexual predator who turned a 22 year Presidential intern into a sex toy.
PING
More from the article:
Clinton's presidency now resembles a deranged version of La Ronde, in which he staggers from one girl to the next without ever managing to shake off any of their predecessors: if his aides hadn't stupidly revealed her identity, Paula Jones wouldn't have sued; if she hadn't sued, he wouldn't have had to give a sworn deposition admitting to the affair with Gennifer Flowers; if he'd settled the suit, her lawyers wouldn't have taken testimony from Kathleen Willey, the woman who says he groped and fondled her on the day her husband committed suicide; if his lawyer hadn't trashed the reputation of Mrs Willey's corroborating witness Linda Tripp, Miss Tripp wouldn't have set about getting her revenge; if the President had only managed to keep his hands off Monica Lewinsky, they wouldn't have had to move her to the Pentagon, where she became friends with Miss Tripp; if he'd been able to steer clear of Shelia Lawrence, Miss Lewinsky wouldn't have become jealous....
The more worldly commentators bemoan the fact that America isn't like France, where M. Mitterrand was buried with both his wife and mistress in attendance. But, if Mr Clinton's funeral applies the same admission criteria, it'll be the biggest windfall for the nation's charter buses since the Million Man March. Mrs Clinton has done her best to surround her husband with only the most fearsome specimens of the fairer sex, from Madeleine Albright to Janet Reno.
Steyn shows as a genius yet again.
Because Bill Clinton was talking (and ) to Monica Lewinsky at her apartment over ordinary phone lines, then it’s for certain the Russians knew about Lewinsky long before we did. So Bill Clinton put himself into a position to be easily blackmailed and he should’ve been removed from office.
Back the trashing a whistleblower was encouraged by politicians, the press, and Hollywood.
Perhaps this interview will change your mind: https://www.cnn.com/ALLPOLITICS/stories/1999/02/16/tripp.transcript/
In that interview, Linda said that, through Monica, Clinton was asking Linda to commit perjury over the Kathleen Willey story.
Also, Linda was very clear that Monica was not really a friend. She was a very emotionally distraught young woman who sometimes called Linda multiple times a day upset over her “relationship” with Clinton.
Sarah Palin got the Michelle Obama treatment compared to what was done to Linda.
Linda exposed BJ for the cad he is and we all know Hillary came out as worse in this episode. Legacy will be the cigar. People get what they deserve and there’s not much room here for anyone looking good or doing the right thing.
She stood up to the Clinton machine.
Trashing a whistleblower of a Democrat politician.
Remember how the "whistleblower" of Watergate was made into a massive hero.
RIP Linda. FU punk fat-a$$ John Goodman..... you’re nothing but a punk fat boy!
An amazing series of links! I did not know they were all rolled into that series of expose-and-depose!
For those who don’t make the jump to the Steyn page, here’s Mark’s comment on the article (from 1998) which isn’t too bad a summary of its high points: “Happy times for columnists: I could have retired to the Caribbean on fellatio puns.”
Thanks!.
OMG, she died ONE WEEK after the diagnosis?!? Incredible.
Rest in peace.
