He then studied and evaluated their recommendations and put in place steps t that would mitigate the virus. OF course there’s LESS death and sickness. THAT’S the plan. When people like Rush go around talking like this they’re really putting down President Trump and essentially calling him a brainwashed fool.

The deaths expected, that Rush is questioning, are those deaths that we were expecting WITH mitigation efforts in effect. Neither those, nor the expected number of illnesses are occurring.

I agree with you. It’s absolutely possible that mitigation efforts took us from 3 million if we did nothing to 60,000. And I think it will be less than 60,000.
But at least Rush did say we can’t back off yet.
And California may be investigating herd immunity, but I seriously doubt there is herd immunity. If the virus was spreading earlier, there should have been a lot of cases of unexplained ARDS. And there weren’t. That tells me it wasn’t spreading earlier.
