During a virtual town hall event on unemployment and issues facing working families, Joe Biden claimed that people refer to him as a “foreign policy expert.”
The comment came after the former vice president gave a long-winded response to a woman who had just lost her job and asked how laid off union workers can keep the healthcare coverage they had.
“As you and I have talked about this, senator, I’m always talked about as being a foreign policy expert, healthcare is more complicated than foreign policy,” he told Nevada state Sen. Yvanna Cancela, who moderated the event. “Healthcare is complicated. It really is daunting for an awful lot of people.”

Joe has been to a bazillion countries. That why he thinks he is a foreign policy expert.
Not only is his brain gone but his hearing declining as well. Joe, they said “Foreign Piracy Expert.”
Biden was been a Senator most of his life prior to becoming Obama’s VP selection. Biden spent a lot of time on the foreign affairs committee where he was most often wrong about everything.
Obama was deemed to be weak on foreign affairs when he ran for President. Biden was promoted by the media as an “expert” who would help Obama as a candidate. Biden was also considered a “safe pick” that would settle the DNCe (yes, they have theirs also).
The media created the persona of “foreign policy expert” and they ran with it for 8 years despite Biden (and the Obama administration) continuing to be wrong about everything. On top of that, Biden turned his “expertise” into big money for his family during his tenure.
Biden is correct in this statement - democrats and the media (one and the same) have touted him as a foreign policy expert for a very long time. Despite being wrong about most things in his supposed field of expertise, that is what they call him.
This is a plus for Trump in my opinion because most people now see Trump as very strong on foreign policy (China, trade deals, North Korea, NATO, the UN, India, Mexico, Canada, etc etc).
Biden’s self-proclaimed strength is an area where Trump beats him straight up..... add in Trump’s masterful economic performance compared to the Obama years and Biden offers nothing to most American voters. Trump has also cut into the traditional democratic base - unions and minorities.
The only thing Biden really has going for him is “orange man bad.”
