And there in lies the problem. Highly infectious, everybody gets sick at once, some have a tough time at home, other overwhelm your healthcare system, increasing fatality rate, and that is bad optics here in plentiful, entitled USA.
There is a guy on youtube who just lost his FIL. I think they said about 5 days from onset of symptoms until they found him dead.

Got a little weird, so ambulance was called, but his O2 sats were fine (all other classical symptoms: Fever, sore throat/cough, SOB)
Died in his bed a day or so later.
