MUSC Health, an eight-hospital system based in Charleston, S.C., is laying off about 900 employees and reducing pay for salaried workers to help offset financial damage caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Like many other health systems across the U.S., MUSC Health is facing financial pressure from canceling elective procedures and other nonemergent care. As a result, the health system has experienced a significant decline in surgical volumes, inpatient visits and ambulatory encounters.

Only government level mismanagement could result in hospitals laying off health workers just as a pandemic hits. Kinda like releasing prisoners so they don't get sick and arresting the healthy for being outside in the fresh air...

How about offering sick people the malaria cocktail. Naw...you’d rather let them die. That helps Fauci’s projections.

Also, lowering health care worker/provider wages at a time when you are asking them to expose themselves to patients infected with Covid is ridiculous.

The CEO and other board members would have their million dollar salaries threatened.

Can you imagine the meltdown if Cancer was cured by say a vaccine. Hospitals, Oncologist, and much of Big Pharma would be in shambles. Hence probably why it won’t happen.

Everything MUSC Health brings in money to operate on, is gone because MUSC Health shut down those systems to prevent their entire operation from becoming a community petri dish that gets sued and fined out of existence. That is called management, not mismanagement. The state and federal government want to tackle the pandemic at specified locations that they can keep supplied and contained. Trying to do this at every hospital, with no regard of their capacities will only spread the virus more, and make it impossible to make sure supplies get everywhere. More management, not mismanagement. Prisons should have gone to lockdown the same time as the nursing homes. That is mismanagement.

The Gardasil vaccine against HPV has been shown effective against the worst HPV strains and eliminating cervical precancerous lesions in treated women. Gilead developed and commercialized a cure for hepatitis C - a major contributor to liver cancer. Not a vaccine but a 6 week treatment.

Please melt somewhere that we don't have to look at your sorry puddle.

I knew a guy who was a middle manager of some kind there.

My wife is the Facebook person, I might ask her to check if he posted anything.
