On Tuesday President Trumps press secretary Stephanie Grisham left her post and will be replaced by campaign spokeswoman Kayleigh McEnany.
McEnany will work in tandem with two others newly tapped by for the Trump administrations communications team: Alyssa Farah as White House director of strategic communications and Ben Williamson as senior adviser for communications. Meanwhile, Grisham will return to first lady Melania Trumps team as chief of staff and spokeswoman.
Heres what to know about McEnany, now tasked with facing off with media on behalf of the administration and guiding a very blunt president who often prefers to go it alone with the press.
McEnany is the first major personnel move by new White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, who assumed the role one week ago after Trump announced he would replace Mick Mulvaney.
McEnanys predecessor, Grisham, received criticism by the media for never hosting a press briefing in her nine months in the position. Grisham made an occasional appearance on Fox News and often defended her boss on Twitter. McEnany, however, is poised to go head-to-head on camera, given her time as a paid contributor on CNN and her more than 200 appearances on Fox News weekday programming since August 2017, according to a count by MMFA.
McEnany will be the presidents fourth press secretary, behind Grisham, Sarah Sanders and Sean Spicer.
McEnany, 31 and a graduate of Harvard Law School, was named national press secretary for President Trumps reelection campaign in February 2019.
An avid defender of the president, McEnany made a name for herself as a conservative pundit on CNN, before being appointed national spokesperson for the Republican National Committee in 2017 and then moving to the Trump campaign.
In 2018, McEnany published a book titled The New American Revolution: The Making of a Populist Movement.

Since you are nothingness, your question is absurd.
The President wants her
I know he wants her. Other than that what purpose does she serve?
Used appear on Fox News as contributor. Did many Red Eyes with Greg Gutfeld. Then went MIA. Found herself on CNN as part of a round table clone of Outnumbered but it was scrapped after 2 airings. She returned to CNN as contributor. But she left or was let go and worked as an activist and Trump acolyte.
___________
I hate to agree with you, but I agree.
She's a smart, attractive girl but her look is too Hollywood/paper back novel/ teen idol look.
She needs a do over. Get rid of the very blond hair, and take off half the makeup and just be herself.
She's a smart young lady, has a kind heart, but her appearance betrays her.
Sorry.
She’s Fearless and takes the Fight right to them and holds back nothing. Yeah a REAL BADASS!
If more Leaders in our Country did this we’d have a much better Republic and one hell of allot less intrusive BS from Democrats Marxists.
I love her spirit and her conviction for unabashed Conservative views.
___________
.... rather true.
At least she's bot Baghdad Bob.
Appearing at the podium for what we think of as traditional press briefings is only a small part of what a press secretary does for the President.
Most of their work is done behind the scenes and I imagine it is a pretty hectic position where much of your work is putting out the fires that erupt each day, organizing surrogates and making sure they have the right message, and monitoring the daily news cycle to stay ahead of stories.
In short, she should expect to be the hardest working person in the White House.
Judging by you replies you haven’t seen her in action.
She is super smart and takes no prisoners.
The Press Secretary hasn't appeared at the podium for a couple of years so that small part is gone.

Trump appears more than capable of doing that on his own.
Then why waste her talent by making her Press Secretary? She'll never be seen again?
Republicans in congress need to take lessons from her.....Or we need 60 republicans named Kayleigh....How much longer before we can clone people??????
Maybe that look is the real her.......
She will scorch them and they won;t know what hit them.....

I do like her a great deal. She is very gentle. that is wonderful in a woman.
(I've been married to the same girl for 46 years and she's not so gentle. Go figure. (Ugh))
Kayleigh will be great in her new position.
