It’s dangerous to be a city parks enforcement officer these days.
Several officers told The Post on Tuesday that some park-goers are so angry over being called out about social distancing amid the coronavirus that they threaten to spit or cough on them if they try to enforce the safety rules.
“They will say, ‘Screw you, I hope you get coronavirus,’’ a Parks Enforcement Patrol officer said. “People do not want to listen.”
Another officer said, “You have situations where we are educating people about social distancing, and they are threatening to cough on you as a means to break the law and get away with it.

In today’s environment why would that not be seen as a deadly weapon. Wonder if anybody gets shot playing the fool.
It’s a little bit funny, and I thought the same thing weeks ago when some cities said they would institute a curfew. I asked how they would enforce it if the cops show up people can just start to cough and spit. Cops ain’t gonna mess around with that.
And so the civil disobedience and push-back begins... As the weather turns warmer, and peoples’ nerves fray, they are going to get out of the house. If the fascist wanna-be dictators don’t like it, let them try to arrest and detain people by the dozens, hundreds even.
Maybe they’ll learn not to vote democrat next time? Naaaahhhh!
It’s only a deadly weapon if it is a deadly weapon. Otherwise, it’s just saliva. Maybe some mucus. Gross, but not deadly. And I don’t think cops shoot people for spit. Maybe taze :-)
This is just a form of protest. In a way it’s a good sign for a free people that citizens are pushing back a little bit. Maybe some people are wising up.
Normally, I’m not a big fan of cops shooting people,
but they get the go-ahead from me on this stuff.
But then it's also racist if more blacks and Hispanics catch the coronavirus, get sick and die.
Hard to blame them. People are willing to risk the small chance of catching coronavirus (the only disease anyone is worried about) to enjoy the small freedoms that power-drunk authoritarians are determined to take away during the crisis.
The mayor of Chicago (among others) doesn’t have the self-discipline to social distance, but no one is putting her in irons.

They’re arresting dads who are out supervising their own daughters, so there’s a lot of retardery on both sides of the issue.
Anyone who knows the societal mores of certain segments of the Black community saw that this was going to happen. For years the carrying on of these groups have filled the videos of the internet.
Sadly they are falling victim to the culture they’ve created and refuse to modify for even a short period of time.
