Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) dropped out of the Democratic presidential race, paving the way for former Vice President Joe Biden to win the 2020 nomination.
Sanders was unable to build on his early momentum in the race after wins in New Hampshire and Nevada as well as virtual tie in Iowa, going on to lose a string of states to Biden after the former vice president consolidated the support of moderate Democrats.
The departure marks Sanders's second failed attempt at the Democratic nomination after he came up short in his 2016 challenge against former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
The 2016 campaign did, however, vault Sanders to household name status after he cobbled together a loyal base of support from largely young voters who grew enamored with his progressive policies and efforts to push the party further left.

Not all youths love socialism and the ills they beget. That's what the MSM wants you to believe, and to be fair that's what they see predominantly, since they tend to live in NYC and LA.

I would be surprised if there are any presidential 'debates'. Trump has already hinted he wouldn't participate and there is zero benefit to him to be gained from engaging in one.

I am really relieved this guy is out. Last thing we need in North America is a socialist.
Biden will surround himself with socialists. Really not much difference between Bernie and the mainstream of the Democratic Party these days.

He can form a PAC and put a figure head in charge and then hire his family members and friends at inflated salaries.
Everybody understands that - like Obama and Hillary before him - Biden would not be the decision-maker, just a figurehead. It doesn't really matter who they run, the candidate is just a facade to trick the low information voters.
