The South Korean solution to the COVID-19 virus (widespread testing and the hydroxychloroquine-zinc cure) is beginning to work in the United States. Americans, like South Koreans, will soon be back at work and school. But at Monday's Coronavirus Task Force press briefing, Dr. Anthony Fauci ignored the success.
Instead, he pretended that the only way the U.S. could get back to normal was through vaccines and new therapies. He was responding to a question directed to him, and him only, by reporter Jonathan Karl at the 37:37 mark of this video:

YouTube screen grab (croppped)
Karl: Will we truly get back to normal before there’s a vaccine available to everybody?...
Fauci: … I believe with the therapies that will be coming online, with the fact that I feel confident that over a period of time we will get a good vaccine, that we will never have to get back to where we are right now. So, if that means getting back to normal, then we’ll get back to normal.
Fauci was being disingenuous. His own organization NIAID (one of the institutes of NIH) is slow walking both therapies and vaccines. For example, NIAID is currently conducting a study on the effectiveness of Remdesivir, a drug which, along with chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine, proved effective against COVID-19 in the Chinese test-tube studies. Here's NIAID's schedule for completing Phase 3 of its approval process:

Believe it or not, that is not a misprint! Fauci was touting new therapies even while his own organization was slow walking the most promising of them so that it would not be ready until 2023!
The same is true of vaccines. NIAID and NIH as a whole have taken charge over approving vaccines for COVID-19. Two American vaccines have already begun their Phase 1 clinical trials (by Moderna and Inovio Pharmaceuticals), one is set to begin in April (Pfizer/BioNTech), and at least four report that they will be ready for clinical trials within a few months (Novavax, CureVac, University of Pittsburgh and Johnson and Johnson). America's businesses and researchers have done their part to get out a vaccine right away.
Yet Fauci has repeatedly claimed that no vaccine could possibly be approved in less than “a year to a year and a half.” The first time he said this, he was directly contradicting President Trump who expected a vaccine much sooner.
In contrast, after the H1N1 (swine flu) epidemic hit in April 2009, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) expedited approval of vaccines. Five months later, on September 15 2009, four different vaccines were approved. Why should approval take over a year this time but only 5 months in 2009? Apparently, NIH is planning to slow walk the COVID-19 vaccines through the usual approval process, which requires three sequential phases
Fauci’s past due date has expired.
The CDC expedited the vaccine process in 2009 and got it done in just 5 months. But Fauci's NIH is in charge of this one, and Fauci says that it can't be done in less than 12 to 18 months. Fauci is part of the problem, not part of the solution.
On April 5th, Fauci said the percentage of Americans who are infected but asymptomatic could be as high as fifty percent. But he admits he’s just guessing and has no data to support this suspicion (here).
So, a monumental number based on insufficient data is offered up to the American people from a scientist who touts data.
Well that seems odd, especially coming on the heels of some encouraging news about the direction things appear to be headed beyond the immediate week or so ahead.
And if I can share one additional this-is-odd tidbit, albeit presented out of chronological order: On March 22nd, when asked about some of the statements Trump makes at press conferences, Fauci said that he “can’t jump in front of the microphone and push him down.” (here)
Say what?
He was talking about the President of the United States! One wonders if he made a Freudian slip and said exactly what he’d like to do.
In closing, let me say “Hear! Hear!” to a comment President Trump made about himself at a recent press conference, which was that while he’s not a doctor, he does have common sense. I, as well. And something doesn’t add up about Dr. Fauci.
He’s a Doctor. He has to couch.
I don’t see things being “normal” in this country until at least August. Not with all these idiots running around like nothing is going on. Chances are at least 1/3 of them are carrying the virus and likely spreading it.
In the absence of a confirmed medical treatment or vaccine, we’ll be living with this a long time. And that doesn’t even account for other countries that are just now getting ill. (Sweden, India, etc.)
Welcome to the table sir.
Seriously. I have not been watching TV at all but have been keeping up (liberal and conservative sites). I have never seen a more obvious person that needs to get removed since that scarramoochie (spelling). Finally, I watch the Falsey guy on TV yesterday. First time. He basically said even if we get through this we are racist and we suck as a country. Duuuuuuuude. I couldn’t even watch Pence after. That was so depressing and downloading. I know the many things Falsey is trying to do including self promote before getting fired. Don’t fire him. Put him on the front lines for a couple weeks. Say you will bring him back but done. Or have a 2nd guy to contradict everything this guy says. IDK but the guy is a downshifting bitch.
- Fauxi was unprepared for the pandemic (by design)
- Fauxi opposed travel ban from China - agenda?
- Fauxi is a front man for Big Pharma, hoping for expensive and profitable new treatments with LONG lead times, rather than inexpensive proven cures like HCQ that have been around for decades and are ready NOW
- Fauxi agenda is mandated vaccines to benefit Big Pharma
- Fauxi promotes fear with exaggerated models & high death rates
- Fauxi exaggerated need for hospital ships
- Fauxi has longtime relationship with corrupt communist WHO director, who covers up for the CCP
- Fauxi plotted ‘Global Vaccine Action Plan’ with depopulation advocate Bill Gates, pushing COVID panic and doubts about HCQ. Microchips. Big Pharma $$$s.
Here’s reality:
The astronomical economic damage caused is not commensurate with the danger posed by the virus. The Corona mortality rate will not even show up as a peak in annual national or worldwide mortality.
He tries to play safe to dodge responsibility.
He’s delaying, dragging his feet and downplaying emergent treatment every step of the way. He does not belong in a government leadership position as he is clearly not leading but in fact hampering solutions.
He expedited a 2009 solution but not now? Fire him! He’s supporting the Leftists/Deep State general strike.
Fauci’s bureaucratic dogma hamstrings our effort in this fight. He needs to be taken off the stage and a real fighter with some ingenuity and energy needs to take his place.
Spell check on phone sucks... downloading and downshifting should be -—> downlifting.
FWIW, Fauci has always been a bureaucrat and early on several of us on FR noted his propensity to play to his audience. He wrote a prudent article in the NEJM at the end of Feb, then he was hysterical on NBC evening news a few days later, then back to rational when on Fox Business a few days thereafter. He said Ebola was a grave threat under Obama and he wrote a love letter to Hillary per Wikileaks.
Bureaucrats are gonna bureaucrat. Meanwhille us regular dopes can read the Lancet and model and estimate and bash the snot out of each other on FR/the marketplace of ideas. The information content of an FR thread is greater than any press conference Fauci ever held.
Not doubting you Chaunce, but you have any links to these?
TRUMP.45!

Fauci is part of the Deep State disease! Gitmo is the cure!!
Fauci isnt now part of the problem. He has been all along. This guy is a fraud. It is my fervent hope that Trump is just giving him enough rope to hang himself.
Always was.
Wow. Youre a sheep. Dont be a sheep.
