France on Monday saw its deadliest 24 hours since the coronavirus outbreak began, reporting 833 more deaths as the countrys health minister warned the pandemic has not yet reached its peak.
The record toll brought the number of COVID-19 deaths in France to 8,911, with the number of confirmed cases rising to 98,984. The jump in numbers comes after data from the past several days showed possible signs of improvement.
Frances health minister cautioned against predictions that rates of fatalities and infections might start to slow.

Well, they will........ eventually.
Likely more hype to frighten sheeple. As per the Worldometers site, the death number did bump upward (from 518 to 833), but that followed a three consecutive day drop. Daily new cases seem to have very low to modest number and that that tends to plateau or drop, save for one day (April 3) where it went up quite highly.
I just looked at France’s numbers. What the hell happened on April 3??
NOTE ON FRANCE DATA:
On April 2, France reported 884 additional deaths that have occurred in nursing homes over the past days and weeks [source]. The French Government did not include these deaths in their official count, as their count only takes into consideration deaths of hospitalized patients. Following international standards of correct inclusion, our statistics will include these deaths, and will add them to the April 2, 2020 count following the attribution criteria of date of report.
If and when the French government determines and communicates the correct distribution of these additional deaths over time, we will adjust the historical data accordingly. A similar issue took place on February 12, when China reported an additional 13,332 new cases in a single day due to a change in how cases were diagnosed and reported in Hubei.
Deaths lag new new cases by a couple to a few weeks.
Rates will come down, after they”re all dead.
Have the French never heard of HCQ, Zinc, and Azithromycin?
Have they surrendered already?
Maybe the French Health Administrators are looking through the bottom of a wine bottle into a crystal ball to make predictions.
I clicked on the link in Comment #4.
As another poster noted, France updated their data on April 2 and did create a huge statistical spike. If you go to that URL is unmistakable.
France didn’t use zinc in its trials.
Yeah, that was me posting the note about the update, but when you go to the actual France data site, you don’t see that bump, as far as I can tell.
When I was stationed in Italy, I'd run the beaches. One day, I approached a cloth and poles structure, angled to keep the sun off, with three sets of legs sticking out. Two sets of legs were hairier than a gorilla and the other was merely hairy...the merely hairy set was the guy...
Zinc is not mentioned at all.
Not news any more.
