If this is true I’m guessing it will be down to him being exposed to a heavy viral load after he rather unwisely visited Cornavirus victims earlier in the outbreak in hospital and shook all their hands oblvious to the potential consequences. If he had a mild case he should have gotten over it by now.

If it’s true, the Beeb’s likely too busy celebrating.

Last I heard it may have been the EU’s Brexit point guy who bugged Boris.

In a previous thread, Boris was scolded for going outside to clap for first responders- without his coat. Maybe he caught a cold.

You don’t really catch a cold that way. Besides, he was already diagnosed with COVID-19.

Coronavirus: Chief medic who broke lockdown will no longer front Scotland's COVID-19 briefings In a statement, Dr Calderwood admitted there were "not legitimate reasons" for her to visit her holiday home in Fife.

Not sure why Scotland needed a CMO Gynaecologist when the UK one is an actual epidemiologist. This is just Sturgeon attempting to look like the leader of an independent country when all she is doing is parroting the advice of the UK government but trying to make it sound more scottishy. Don’t know why the UK government hasn’t suspended Holyrood during this national crisis and put Fish features in her place.

Yes. There is some merit to the idea that “cold temperatures suppresses the immune system” and “cold air rushing into the nasal passages makes infections more probable by diminishing the local immune response there” although neither have been conclusively proven. But in any case, you are not going to come down with a cold unless you’ve been in contact with someone who has it and or has been shedding one of the several cold viruses.

One could go outside without a coat several times a day during winter and that alone won’t make you catch a cold.

My nephew is famous for wearing shorts in the winter, even when outside shoveling snow and he rarely gets sick. I on the other hand bundle up like I’m embarking on an artic expedition once the daytime temps are only in the 40’s.

Not good, if you have to be admitted to a hospital your odds of a bad outcome go up dramatically.

Sadiq Khan has been helping London stay afloat.

His term ends in May 2020, but I expect the elections will be delayed.
