As our testing ability improves, we will be able to use results as a mechanism to help businesses open and safely allow customers to return. We now have the ability to conduct antibody tests that are quick and inexpensive. These tests will identify patients who have immunity (IgG antibodies) versus current infection (IgM antibodies). An immune person can likely safely return to work and be out in public, as would also be the case with an immune customer. A five-minute test prior to entering a store or restaurant would allow both a worker and a customer to safely return. A person who has neither antibodies (not yet exposed) would be stratified into a risk category to determine activity.

Author proposes we classify people based on our scientific knowledge.

Confirmed Infected (IgM antibodies or virus detection)

Confirmed infected are defined as those who have tested "positive" for the COVID-19 virus or the acute IgM antibody.  These people need to follow medical guidance, which is either in-hospital treatment or at-home self-quarantine.  They would be retested until immunity is confirmed and the acute infection is resolved.

High Risk (with no antibody protection)

Taking guidance from the CDC, those who are at the highest risk are defined as older Americans, 60 and above, and those who are immuno-compromised.

As Dr. Deborah Birx has also recently stated, people who live in COVID "hot zones" are at higher risk of contracting the virus than other parts of the country.  If you live in New York City, you are at higher risk of contracting coronavirus than if you live in other parts of the country.

Here are the confirmed cases by state. (This is a map showing the numbers)

Older Americans, people with compromised immune systems, and those who live in COVID "hot zones" should severely curtail their social interactions, very similar to many of the "safer at home" policies currently instituted by many states and municipalities.

Medium Risk

If you are experiencing flu-like symptoms, you should self-quarantine and be tested and retested to confirm COVID-19 or to rule it out.

If you live in an urban population center in New York, New Jersey, Michigan, Louisiana, or California, you are at higher risk of contracting the coronavirus and should take precautions to protect yourself and your neighbors.

If you are healthy but live with someone in a high-risk category, you should take precautions to protect your loved ones and consider testing to know the status of immunity.

Low Risk or confirmed antibody protection

If you are young and healthy and live in a more suburban or rural setting, your risk of contracting COVID is low.  While you should continue to practice "social distancing" measures and wash your hands regularly, you should be permitted to go back to work and begin to socialize in small group settings.

Take temps of every person entering a grocery, restaurant or retail store.

People with temps can be offered takeout - but will not be served.

Everyone should be encouraged to wear mask... with some stores offering ‘mask fashions’...

Install fans and machines to make light mist to discourage large virus loads.

Takeout boxes must be sealed at restaurant and be encouraged to advertise other safeties...

There are hundreds of other ideas companies can come up with to make their products and services safer to the public... then the public can decide...

Right there you have a flaw in the process. Maybe a five-minute test for a worker at the start of a shift is reasonable, but if I am a CUSTOMER then there is no way in hell I’m subjecting myself to that for anything except the most dire of needs.

And if Americans only buy what they desperately need, then 90% of the country is out of business anyway.

Karl Denninger is thinking the same way: Reopen NOW. Here's How.

The lockdowns are not going to stop the virus - they serve only the interests of the collectivists.

Our super brilliant Mayor in Louisville showed us the most amazing stats last night:

47,000 deaths in Kentucky if we’d done nothing.
13,000 deaths with moderate social distancing.
2,000 deaths if we have STRICT social distancing for 3 months.

Oh, really? What if we VERY VERY STRICTLY Stayed at home for a year? Would that prevent ALL deaths?

We don’t know that 47,000 would have died.
Why can’t we be happy to have saved 34,000 lives?
Who gets to decide how many get to live?

We need to get out there and FACE the Peril!

With this in place we will see intentional infections. If you are young and in good health the risk of serious complications is far outweighed by the opportunity presented by being part of the Corona elite (those who have a Corona passport).

Germany is testing 350,000 to 500,000 people A DAY now.

I see that we have managed to test a whopping 1.3 million in the last two or three weeks. Wow, I’m not impressed at all.

CDC did this to us. They are a waste of Money.

Testing, isolation, retesting are the only way to manage this without destroying the economy completely until a vaccine is developed. Until then, we are all at risk and some are very much at risk of dying and the numbers are higher than just the flu.

How about ‘redistributing the wealth’ of Rich leftist Liberals ??

Hypocrisy on their part - and we would be doing them a favor to help them no longer be Hypocrites. They need this help as they seem trapped in that evil.

Start with Pelosi and her family - to rid them of their ill-gotten gains made on the backs of the poor...

Living just above the poverty line should be GOOD ENUF, and all the rest can be better spent on ‘the poor’.

An Idea whose time has come ......
