Isn’t the water kind of cold to be out canoeing?

Can’t ski, can’t fly, can’t canoe.

Is there nothing a Kennedy can’t do?

Small craft advisories have been up for the Chesapeake Bay for days now, due to the big low off the east coast. Winds have been gusting to near gale force.

As long as you don’t fall in.

The huge storm off the eastern seaboard should have been a concern! https://weather.com/news/weather/video/stunning-satellite-photos-of-storm-off-of-east-coast

The Chesapeake Bay is deadly especially this time of year. The water is cold and today the wind is gusting to 40 mph from the northwest.
They will be extremely fortunate if they are rescued.

Another story I saw on this said that the mother and her son had paddled out to retrieve a ball. Don’t know. Seems strange.

Exact same thing I was thinking. I live by the Bay where this happened. With the windchill, it felt like the 40s all week, and the water temperatures are likely in the 50s.

“Isn’t the water kind of cold to be out canoeing?”

That’s why you stay in the boat.
