Americans shouldn’t assume hydroxychloroquine is a “knockout drug” in preventing or treating COVID-19, White House health advisor Dr. Anthony Fauci warned Friday.
“We still need to do the definitive studies to determine whether any intervention, not just this one, is truly safe and effective,” Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said on Fox News. “But when you don’t have that information, it’s understandable why people might want to take something anyway even with the slightest hint of being effective.”

Fauci seems to think that the American people are stupid and unable to evaluate evidence on our own. I know a lot of people here are Fauci fanboys and fangirls. Frankly, I find his overbearing schoolmarmish demeanor disgusting. Every year over 125,000 Americans die from using FDA approved drugs “as prescribed”. This statistic does not include over doses or those “self prescribing” drugs. Pardon me if I don’t view FDA approval as being a “magic talisman” that grants unimpeachable validity to a drug.
We could have been giving this drug right along, for many weeks now, gathering results, saving many many lives, if not most lives- and adding to our knowledge as to whether or not it will work- We could have already compiled enough info to determine whether it’s going to be a wonder drug or not- countries all around us were using it while we farted around worried about lawsuits while people dropped dead in the 1000’s-
If, as indicated by many trials and studies now, this drug is highly effective, then the deaths should come to a screeching halt i n this country- or at least slow way way down-
Considering we have 1,000 dead per day..what is the harm, that they die, they are gonna die anyway so mind as well give the drug combo and whatever happens, happens

Fauci is probably the one that told Trump that this virus would NOT be a big deal, that even if it comes to America it would be minimal, heck Fauci went on TV in early March, and in February and pretty much said that
this guy has been a one-man band against this medicine
but it has worked many times already
it is not specifically designed for this new Virus (and we will soon have new meds that are), but hey, it is working!
But a miracle vaccine that is being rushed into production without the usual requisite animal studies or double blind test patients is the answer, right Dr. Conflict-of-Interest?

His words are misleading that it doesn’t work at all and leaves us with no hope. Why are most front line health care workers taking it? Why are doctors taking it? Why is there a poll of 6000 doctors stating if given early it is making a HUGE difference in viral loads-—cutting down to 3-5 days from 14-17 days—that is proof. Then there’s the new French study of 1,574 patients that were given early and ALL cleared up with in 5 days and 1 died. That is unheard of compared to those without it——Is it a knockout drug? We don’t know it since several states are limiting it and aren’t giving it until it’s way too late. Look up the studies, given early on, it IS effective. I can guarantee if he had the virus he would NOT deny the mixture....
