Americans shouldn’t assume hydroxychloroquine is a “knockout drug” in preventing or treating COVID-19, White House health advisor Dr. Anthony Fauci warned Friday.
“We still need to do the definitive studies to determine whether any intervention, not just this one, is truly safe and effective,” Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said on Fox News. “But when you don’t have that information, it’s understandable why people might want to take something anyway even with the slightest hint of being effective.”

I’m beginning to not trust him quite as much. I hate conspiracy theories, but if he is more liberal than ethical, he may not be trustworthy. But how can we know which he is? So far, he’s made it clear to the press that he is NOT against the President. But then there’s that smarmy email to Hillary, and that smirking during the press conference... Or was he stifling a yawn? And is the NIH more trustworthy than the CDC, whom I trust not at all? I do trust Dr. Seigle, who appears on FOX.

I agree wholeheartedly. If he is on this task force for CV he should not be going around like a rock star to every liberal media outlet and start spouting off crap that he thinks is making him look important. There is a time and place for his opinion and that’s with the task force. As far as HCQ it can cause abnormal heart rhythm problems that are serious, BUT if the person prescribing the medication informs the patient (and family) what the risks are and they are willing to accept those risks, then it should be given, especially in a matter of life and death. A persons’ MD would know if their patient had any cardiac issues most of the time.

And sublingual/lozenges work best. Pills barely work. But even lozenges say only take a limited amount, over a few days.

No drug is a knock out drug..biodiversity ensures there will be some segment of the population that any drug will not work on.
If however the incident of critical cases of those receiving this drug significantly reduces the number of critical cases vs those that do not, it’s a big game changer...
And everyone medically cleared should be on it as a preventative. Not much needed, actually.
