What vital function were the hospital ships filling before they were sent to New York and LA?
Any idiot can take fragmentary and partial information about a subject he does not understand and is no way qualified to opine about, and take pot shots at the people actually doing the work.
People need to understand that this is a crisis of an unprecedented kind. There are a lot of deluded morons out there who seem to think that there is a pool of geniuses out there who could instantly make all the right decisions if only the people actually DEALING with the crisis would just put them in charge.
There aren’t. They don’t exist. There are no experts. There are people who have ideas that might work, and people who have ideas that won’t work, but there is NOBODY who has the whole thing figured out. Not yet.
The geniuses who have the whole thing figured out are being made right now, and they are going to come from the pool of people who are actually out there TRYING things. BECAUSE they are trying things.
The way you get a handle on this thing, is you go out and try a whole bunch of different approaches, and when one gives good results, you REINFORCE SUCCESS.
Look at World War II. ALL the experts KNEW that there was no defense against being bombed by aircraft. The Bomber Will Always Get Through. Nothing could stop it. Every expert knew this. Only idiots doubted it. Until people actually had to try to stop the Bomber. Then they figured out a way to stop the Bomber.
They tried a whole bunch of things. Some worked a little. Some worked sometimes. Eventually they figured it out.

The W.H.O. did not do the calculation correct. All they did was take those tested, and then looked at who died. They never factored in the all the people that had it, healed from it and never were tested.
Remember the time frame of this. China first notified President Trump of it back in November of 2019. This was after they had worked on it for a few months and could not contain it. So this highly contagious air born virus was around for 6 months, and Chinese citizens were traveling around the planet. Yet no one new about it and everything was normal. Does that not strike you as odd if it is that deadly?
Keep in mind 4 weeks ago there were saying 12 million dead, then 6 million, then 1 million, then 500k and now it is down to 100k-200k. So the model changes drastically because their computer models are incorrect. Bad input gives you bad output.
The projections for climate change have been wrong. The projections for who is going to win the 2016 election was wrong. Computer models can say anything. Again bad input gives you bad output.
When the CDC calculates the death rate for the seasonal flu. They added 36 million people to their numbers. Because many will get mild symptoms, heal from it, and they are never tested. If the CDC did not do this, then the seasonal flu would have a death rate of 10%
New York City is by far the epicenter of coronavirus in the US and one of the highest concentrations on the entire planet, and they have only 3 patients in a 1,000 bed hospital ship?
Didn't they announce cancellations of “non essential” procedures in New York, and haven't the media been screaming about hospitals running out of bed? Yet a fully equipped military hospital bed site empty in New York? Give me a break!
