"... the Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station said that “deputies were flagged down by lifeguards regarding a male adult in the water, disobeying lifeguard orders to exit the water.”

Why would lifeguards be working during such strict social distancing rules?

Florida university says students tested positive for coronavirus after spring break trip

Who knows? The police’s action might ultimately have saved a few people from dying of virus.

Otherwise, just as with flu, the warming weather will end epidemic imo.

Technically he was busted for disobeying a lifegaurd.

Technically closed beaches have no lifeguards......

‘But, we’ve put them in chargish.’

yes we did; we put them out there to save people who were in peril of drowning, not to harass paying beach goers who are standing in four feet of water, many of them, like myself, having been doing so for over almost seventy years...and to boot, there were three of them sitting in the one stand, yakking since they were so bored; is it too much trouble to spread themselves out so we who pay their way can have a modicum of enjoyment...lazy bastards, the more I think about it, the angrier I get, I’m furious now, grrr...

Cause people go out on paddle boards.

Lets see, this guy is by himself in the open air, yet it's A-OK for hundreds of people to gather at venues like Walmart and Costco which are right down the street? It's A-OK to fast food employees to gather at work? And what about all the aircraft that are still flying?

Ya think anyone buys into the heavy handed government overreach?

Okay he was alone in the water, nobody else around then in the pic two LEOs are standing right next to him, closer than six feet away.

Arrest them All.

Wow, I just got back from a two mile walk with my dog. Never got within 25 yards of anyone. Does that make me a felon?

He got off easy. A couple of weeks ago there were plenty of Freepers who would have been OK if they shot him on sight.

Curiously, that idiocy seems to have faded on FR. I suspect a lot of people are going to disappear and/or change their screen names after they exposed themselves through their infantile antics.

Forget social distancing. Why aren’t the officers wearing gloves and masks?

Guess they were concerned for the porpoise welfare? What a thoughtless ‘dude’ eh? There are caveats in NevaDUH so that we can still use the outdoors. For now. Maintaining one Elvis distance from others. He was 6’1”.......

I go occasionally to my clubs outdoor rifle/pistol range. Members are their own range officers. 100+ acres of various pistol pits and long rifle ranges. I let myself in with an electronic key card and don’t often come across anyone. By myself I’m no threat nor am I threatened by others.

The range hasnt been closed by fiat or decree by evil eye Cuomo and his Marxist minions and if I need to get out I go there and plink I do. If I plan to meet someone there we practice social distancing. Odd not shaking hands.

I would also say that there might be a chance he would have to be rescued and put the CG and lifeguards at risk. Other than that I guess you can’t go out alone.

Total BS to put him in jail. Just wait until all the murderers gavin grewsome let out of prison to kill again!

Without courage, all of our protestations of virtue fall flat. Fear is the enemy of true virtue. Aristotle said, "Courage is the first of human qualities because it is the quality which guarantees the others." I hope that the following quotes from our ancestors will help us remember that courage in the face of danger is essential to preserving liberty. I pray that we are all prudent, without using an exaggerated sense of prudence as an excuse for cowardice. (Myself included)

“Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom. It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves.” ― William Pitt the Younger

“No people will tamely surrender their Liberties, nor can any be easily subdued, when knowledge is diffused and virtue is preserved. On the Contrary, when People are universally ignorant, and debauched in their Manners, they will sink under their own weight without the Aid of foreign Invaders.”(Sam Adams)

“The liberties of our country, the freedoms of our civil Constitution are worth defending at all hazards; it is our duty to defend them against all attacks. We have received them as a fair inheritance from our worthy ancestors. They purchased them for us with toil and danger and expense of treasure and blood. It will bring a mark of everlasting infamy on the present generation – enlightened as it is – if we should suffer them to be wrested from us by violence without a struggle, or to be cheated out of them by the artifices of designing men.”(Sam Adams)

In MI, open fires (even in a fire pot) and public boat launches are closed state-wide.

Can’t even go fishing alone. Will boating by lakefront homeowners also be banned?

If it goes into June, will some/all swimming be banned?

Last — is mosquito transmission possible?

How would someone catch the WuhanVirus from being on the beach and/or being in the water?????

SaxxonWoods wrote:

“He was definitely a danger to himself. And if he caught it from being in the ocean he would then be a danger to anyone he came in contact with.

Yes, you can catch it from being on the beach or on/in the water near the beach.

Have fun out there. Eventually we either give up and let everybody catch it or something worse will happen from the lack of economic activity.

Brings new meaning to “Hobson’s Choice”.”
