Under a motion passed by the city council in Laredo, Texas, earlier this week, residents in the town can now face a fine of up to $1,000 for not wearing some form of covering on their nose and mouth in the midst of the coronavirus outbreak.

According to the Laredo Morning Times, council members passed the motion in a vote earlier this week. As part of the measure, all residents over the age of 5 are required to have their nose and mouth covered when entering public buildings, using public transportation and when pumping gas, the body said in a notice detailing the motion, which went into effect Thursday.

Just remember to remove your mask/burka when you enter a bank.
(if they are open)

As I walked out in the streets of Laredo
As I walked out in Laredo one day,
I spied a poor cowboy, all wrapped in white linen
All wrapped in white linen and cold as the clay.

“I see by your outfit, that you are a cowboy.”
These words he did say as I slowly passed by.
“Come sit down beside me and hear my sad story,
For I’m shot in the chest, and today I must die.”

ELO - Laredo Tornado

Summer days, where did you go,
You’ve let me down so bad,
Clouds fill the sky,
Gone is the dream

My happy hunting ground.
Wild buffalo played and I never saw a rainy day.
But it looks like summer days ain’t coming back.
March April May, June and July,
You took me for a fall.

Big chief he lie,
Cold wind blows cool, so cold to make you die.
Mountain breeze, ocean bay and I never saw a rainy day.
But it looks like them summer days ain’t coming back.

Laredo Tornado,
Adios amigos
What can you do, when your dream world is gone.
And your friends and lovers too.

West Winter Street under the ground,
The air that makes you choke,
Towers of concrete, hellish go-round,
Were there when I awoke

City sky, pouring down with rain
That can never hope to ease the pain.
And it looks like summer days ain’t coming back.

Laredo Tornado
Adios amigos.
Laredo Tornado
Adios amigos.

The bank lobbies are closed everywhere as far as I know. There’s no need to wear a mask in the car while driving through or at the ATM.

I’d have thought Waco would have been the first Texas city to do this.

tough go for banks in this city. It seems they’ll have to trip the alarm if someone NOT wearing a mask enters.

One correction to my comment. At least some of the bank lobbies were open for special appointment only, and only for very necessary visits. Social distancing rules were said to be implemented. No doubt, they have special security for such rare occasions. Don’t know if any are doing that now or for how long.

Yet if you drive a car and are supposed to wear glasses they wont bother make checkpoints, even though chances of death in a car accident is 1 in 103 according to google. While the latest prediction for virus deaths in USA might be as high as 100,000 (slightly more than a flu season if we are to believe ) and out of a population of 300 million, that would make chances of virus death by not wearing a burqa is 1 in 3,000. Next they will outlaw walking without a cane to prevent slipping on banana peal deaths..

Is this crap even constitutional? How about we order everyone to wear a pirates baseball hat, or you must wear sunglasses on days when there is sun. What if I don’t own a mask or bandana? The state is forcing me to buy a product. Please arrest me for not wearing a mask...they think my virus check was a lot? This panic is getting way out of control!

Of course it is an abridgment the right to peaceably assemble. This is all part of the “Test” to see how far govt can destroy our liberties.

Now i’ll wait for the “The Constitution isn't a suicide compact!!!!” Crowd to pounce.
