It's "martial", or in this case, we would say: "Court-martialed"...still not quite the correct term, but understandable by those not familiar with the terms.

Yup. To shut a military person up, relieve them, give them a bad efficiency report which forever screws up their career that just ended for them. Guy is a captain in the Navy, a full colonel in the Army/Air Force/Corp. So, he should have at least his 20 in. Then he can at least retire with his pension, because he ain’t going no higher if relieved. Relief is usually “for cause.” For cause is a career killer!
Just reported on Fox that he has been relieved of duty GOOD he leaked a letter to the San Francisco Chronicle that his ship was NOT combat ready what a complete and total IDIOT to let our enemies know that!! They should kick his ass out of the Navy completely!!!

My daughter is on the Reagan and sent me a link to a SF Chronicle story a couple days ago about “the Commander Begging for Help...” I told her to be a bit skeptical primarily because of the source of the Article, also, if he was begging, how did the SF C know about it? well natural the daughter got mad at dad because I questioned her news artcle... so be it! No one ever listens to dad!! lol...
