He should be court marshaled and then sent to the brig. Leaking out this kind of info to our enemies is a serious breach of security.

Absolutely. The kind of info he transmitted would only be allowed sent encrypted at Top Secret and compartmentalized or higher for extremely limited sets of eyes. To have that kind of letter leaked can only lead to one result. And the penalty should be every bit as harsh as you suggest.
He should be gone.. I mentioned to my wife that his complaining was pathetic and he’s obviously not a leader.
Perhaps he was better suited to command the USS Harvey Milk.
The letter should have been Top Secret. The readiness of a major ship is not unclassified.
