These numbers do not reflect the actual number of people who applied for unemployment. These numbers reflect the number of applications processed by staff.

For the week of March 15-21, Oregonians filed 77,000 applications. The 'official' number reported by the Feds was 22,000, because that was the number processed by unemployment staff. And the 77,000 doesn't reflect the number of people who weren't able to get through to file their application.
