The respiratory therapist at Brooklyn’s Maimonides Medical Center is now back at work trying to save the lives of coronavirus patients after catching and recovering from the sickness himself.
“I love my job, and I was very bored at home,” he told the New York Post this week, describing how his fever once reached 104 degrees while he was fighting COVID-19.

That worker now has immunity which is a good thing.
I would think respiratory therapists are in very high demand right now.

Yes, it is a non story.
Depends on what treatment he received, I think. If it was supportive care only, then generally yes. If it was any of the antivirals that took it out instead of his immune system, no (IIRC).
He/she should demand a much higher salary ...
“generally yes” is not “absolutely yes”. I am concerned the medical community is going to make a mistake in believing everyone with the anti-bodies for COVID-19 are perfectly safe to be around. If it is absolutely true this is the case, that’s good news. Also, we’ve heard that people can have a recurrence of the virus which would make “absolutely yes” not so certain.
We don’t know.
We do know that we keep getting infected by “common cold” viruses and norovirus over and over again.
We can’t assume that COVID-19 will be like a particular strain of flu that we develop permanent antibodies to.
We all are. Mostly not from coronavirus, though.
If we do die from coronavirus, blame PC politicians and bureaucrats.
I thought NYC must have had laws restricting how many families could live in a single-family apartment in the 19th Century. Now? The laws are almost certainly still on the books. But if NYC doesn't enforce 19th Century laws meant to prevent the spread of disease, is it a surprise if disease spreads?
