Actually I am studying what countries who have had some success fighting this have done and looking at countries that have had this thing explode and extrapolating what works and what does not. Singapore, Japan, Taiwan and Korea have all had masks. Italy, Spain, the UK and the US have not. I don’t believe. I look at empirical evidence and deduce. Not the scientific method, granted but things are moving a tad fast for that.
Yet another bit of conflicting information. I love when the left (and even some conservatives) urge us to “listen to the experts,” as though there is some magic authoritative body of “experts” out there that all have the same, correct opinion.
The only thing in which I am an expert is trying lawsuits, but I think there’s a useful lesson to be taken from that field: Jurors aren’t told the just believe whatever the expert witnesses say. They are told to listen to all of the evidence, including expert and non-expert testimony, weigh it, and make up their own minds. We all should do the same.

They need to coordinate their message because Fauchi just today said they are rethinking their position on masks and they might begin to recommend them.

Remember Joycelny Elders? Must not be considered a very important position considering some who have filled it. Lots of diversity candidates even more than usual on the taxpayer dime.
Problem with this virus is we DON’T always know if the people in the grocery store with us are sick or not. Even if some of us keep our distance, others do not, and even when they do, they leave invisible germs in their wake.

So if everyone wore a mask then the ones that are infected and don’t know it would have a much reduced chance of spreading it to others?
And the others who don’t have the virus and don’t know that they don’t would bear no ill effects and maybe some positive ones?
Is that right? Hummmm. Thought provoking to some and maybe inspirational to others.
Sounds like a bit of a win-win to me but I’m just dumb about things like this I guess.
They wear them everywhere every day in Asia. Like part of their uniform.
Do you have a source for that? Not doubting, just everything I've read gives an average of 5 days till symptoms developing post exposure with 7 days to hospitalization after symptoms appear.
