Your tank's empty. That didn't take long.

I'm providing this as a guide for others. You don't need it since you've already relied on most of these.

Because it’s the most densely populated area in the state? Nah, couldn’t be...must be the beaches...

You carry a big shield, grasshopper. Do you know how to limit the size of posted graphics?

I want to believe you. This site South Carolina Population Density County Rank lists Beaufort County SC 11th of 46. Are they wrong?

The governors are running scared one step ahead of potential lynch mobs. If we can ever get one of our crack news reporters to dive deep into each of the 50s calls over the years on medical inventories it will shine a better light on their “concerns”.

I’m curious - but dreading - their cries of anguish when tax revenues fall short by 25% (for the quarter of idleness) and probably more due to the knock-on effect on the economy.

They have constitutional obligations to balance their budgets. They have also made their own beds.

At one point it was feared that all the unfunded mandates and insane spending on illegals would force under-water states to ask for federal bailouts. Now it appears many/most of the states will be in such a position making the 2.2 Trillion package look like spare change.

End the panic, follow the Swedish model.

https://www.bbc.com/news/av/health-52075983/coronavirus-sweden-s-life-as-normal

The CDC announced in mid March that 22,000 to 50,000 Americans had died since Oct 1 from the flu. The regular flu. The one they have shots for. 3,173 have died in the US from the Wuhan Flu. Over that one, our betters have destroyed our economy.

The Deep State strikes again.

Well, just being familiar with the area, I’d say you’d find a LOT more people there using public transportation than Greenville. That probably accounts for a lot. If the list says it, I’m sure it’s true on paper, but to blame it on beaches is really pretty crazy. Particularly this time of year which is quite cold for the kind of kids’ antics you are so uptight about.

I realize you seem to want someone to be angry at and take out your aggressions, but honestly, you should just go outside, take a deep breath of fresh air, and calm down. If the simple actions of others are such a burden on your soul, you should consider another line of work.

If you didn't know that Beaufort County has the 11th highest population density in SC, then why did you toss it out there? I was able to refute your erroneous info in minutes.

Calling me angry does not lessen your lack of factual information. You are jumping through a whole lot of faulty assumptions to conclude that I am blaming beaches for coronavirus.

Pinheaded assertions do not equal facts.

Wow, you wasted minutes checking on that. I was just going by being all over the state many times and I’ll tell you, whatever metric they’re using on paper to calculate that, the people in Charleston are piled up on each other a lot more than they are here. They also use a great deal more public transportation, which is HUGELY more of a factor than your precious beach closings could ever be.

I’m not ‘calling you angry’. I’m calling you out on being an angry, generally disagreeable (certainly on this issue) person who doesn’t seem to have the required grace to interact with other humans at this moment in time.

Enjoy your anger. Seethe. Break something. Or you could step back and chill out. Honestly, I really don’t care either way. Enjoy your ulcer.

Well, at least you admit to posting your feelings as fact. Thank you for your honesty. Glad to know you are in touch with your feelings. Perhaps your feelings will keep you safe during this pandemic. Good luck!

Tell that to my friends and colleagues who are risking their lives

How did they survive the 2017-18 epidemic without all the hysteria we're seeing today?

BTW, nephew who is a surgeon just recovered from the virus and my niece who is an ER doctor at the local VA both say these draconian actions by our Michigan governor are total BS and unnecessary......so there.

Meh...honestly, it’s just that I don’t give a wet crap about pointless arguing of nonsense on the internet anymore. Of course, that does put a damper on this whole pointless conversation we’re having, doesn’t it? :-)

You’re right, I did bring that up, and I didn’t look it up first. I was wrong. It isn’t the most densely populated part of the state (though...anyone who lives here is shaking their heads at that and wondering just how that happened...Greenville is must be exploding faster than we all thought in population)

The idea that somehow our beaches (when it’s still cold) are attracting throngs of stupid kids rubbing on each other, therefore need to be closed to everyone, is just plain off the mark. I happened to be at the beach in FL during Spring Break last year(ugh) and it’s a nightmare I’d never want to experience again. Kids everywhere, throwing up on each other, screaming and carrying on...if our beaches were like that, I’d certainly NEVER go to them.

Here in SC, there’s already an order in place for more than a certain number of people not to congregate together, that should be enough to break up whatever gaggles of morons decide that they feel invincible at any given moment, if it were to happen.

I can appreciate your line of work making you feel like you’re being put in danger by people who act stupidly, but why are we all assumed to be acting stupidly? Why isn’t there a responsible way to walk on the beach? There’s plenty of room there. Even in Hilton Head in July, I know I don’t hang out within 6 feet of strangers, why would I start now?

Now, closing Myrtle Beach might make some sense, because they seem overrun with people on the mulleted/retarded side, but even they seem to stay more than 6 feet apart even when the beach is crowded and there isn’t a threat of imminent death. Just stay out of the Harris Teeter beer aisle and you’re good.

Thank you for your thoughtful post. Hopefully, we will have an arsenal of several different types of drugs and antibody immunotherapy to combat this pandemic very, very soon, followed by a vaccine for future prevention.

We all want to get our lives back on track as quickly as possible. Cheers!
