Gov. Andrew Cuomo continued to push for additional help from the federal government as the coronavirus pandemic continues to spread.
There are now 66,497 confirmed coronavirus cases in New York, Cuomo said Monday, including 9,517 hospitalized, 2,352 ICU patients and 4,204 patients who have been hospitalized and discharged.
The death toll climbed to 1,218.
“Big picture is the situation is painfully clear now. There’s no question as to what we’re dealing with. There’s no question as to the consequences. There’s no question as to the grief and loss of life. And there’s no question about what we must do. There are only two missions. There are only two operations that we need to perform. First, the public has to be responsible. Stay at home,” Cuomo said. “It is a mandate. Stay at home. If you’re a non-essential worker, stay at home. If you leave the house you’re exposing yourself to danger. If you leave the house, you’re exposing others to danger.”
Cuomo said the isolation can be oppressive but “it is better than the alternative.”
Cuomo said people must stay six feet apart whenever they go out.
Cuomo again threatened to close down playgrounds if people don’t get the message and stay apart.

Look flame me if you want but I wish one of Trumps advisors would tell him that stockpiling masks and ventilators now is the right thing to do if you know you’ll need them in 2 weeks. I love Trump but Cuomo is right on this point.

Hmmm.. so what you are saying is that Cuomo’s hoards (being filled to the brim by Trump) will all be distributed for use IN TWO WEEKS? You know, since Cuomo “KNOWS HE’LL NEED THEM IN 2 WEEKS”!
I am thinking we need a way of getting conservatives out of NY to someplace safe. Then, completely ignore NY.
Early on I think the President was playing it right with New York. He didn’t criticize Cuomo and in fact made positive remarks about him and Cuomo returned the favor. If Trump starts criticizing Cuomo now, he’s making a mistake. Whoever the advisor was that thought criticizing New York for keeping ventilators in reserve until they were needed should be fired.
I want Trump to get re-elected as much as anyone. That’s why I don’t want him to say things that will hurt him.
I am so tired of this New York is the center of the universe attitude. Sorry you didn’t properly prepare for this pandemic. Maybe no one could have and you are doing the best you can with what you have, but you sound like a child that never gets enough. Take a day off so no one has to listen to your blather every day. Please, Governor, say one positive thing for every negative thing.
Tell me about it. Ever since this started the media has been portraying this criminal asswad like he’s the savoir of all humanity, even incredibly writing a puff piece about how handsome he is and how all the women want him.
