Speaking at a contentious White House coronavirus news briefing on Sunday that involved testy standoffs with multiple reporters, President Trump declared that "the peak in death rate" in the coronavirus pandemic "is likely to hit in two weeks," and said the federal government will be extending its social-distancing guidelines through April 30.
"The modeling estimates that the peak in death rate is likely to hit in two weeks. I will say it again. The peak, the highest point of death rates, remember this, is likely to hit in two weeks... Therefore, we will be extending our guidelines to April 30, to slow the spread," the president said in the White House Rose Garden.
Saying his earlier hope that the country could reopen by Easter was "just an aspiration," Trump added: "We can expect that by June 1, we will be well on our way to recovery" and that "a lot of great things will be happening."
When asked about worst-case scenarios if the country were to remain closed indefinitely, the president responded, "You're gonna have large numbers of suicides -- tremendous [numbers of] suicides... You will see drugs being used like nobody has ever used them before, and people are going to be dying all over the place."

We need real Doctors advising the President. Fauci is turning out to be a one trick pony.
But he is a genius, if the patient is dead, we don’t ever have to worry about it being sick again.
Can anyone imagine how many people will die when they are homeless, out of work, starving and sickly?
He needs to not keep raising expectations. It is better to lower them, & then when it is exceeded, it is a win.
His poll numbers went up because he changed to deal with this in a serious & sober manner.

Do you really believe that? 2.5B people in lockdown? I know the US and Canada aren’t in “ lockdown” and can’t imagine Mexico or most ot South America or Africa is. Maybe your and my idea of lockdown are different, I went for a 2 mile walk today on government owned hiking trails, stopped on way home and picked up a couple of steaks to bbq tonight. Having our neighbors over for dinner tomorrow night...no lockdown where I live.

The dates shown for Ohio are also wrong. I personally think Ohio won’t come anyway near the projected numbers.
June will turn into July and then August and then September and so on and so on.
And the great and powerful wizard of Fauci will revise his projections, adjust his assumptions, create new expectations and propose nothing that ends this but only that which perpetuates it.
This guy is a national cancer. I am not saying Trump can him, but rather get some more voices on board.

There will have to be some suppression efforts, sure, but not as many as we have now. We will be in better shape in terms of resources, then you just keep the infection rate at a level you can handle until you have a vaccine.
They are taking December at the earliest for a vaccine. I am telling you right now that the American People will barely tolerate two more weeks of this and certainly not two months.
We are at a breaking point.
And here is why. People who have jobs and are getting paid or who have some source of financial security will be fine with sitting this out. But once they see that evaporate AND IT WILL, then that is something that can be as scary if not scarier to many than disease.
The tipping point is coming.
Trump needs people around him that were as concerned with treatments as with containment. Instead he has public cancer Fauci who wants to pretend we can Ostrich our way out of this.

I refer you to Dr. Judy Mikovits book “Plague”.
Mikovits who had over 30 years in vaccine and cancer research was fired then arrested and crucified in the scientific community when she blew the whistle on the blood supply and vaccine retrovirus contamination. This contamination is thought to be connected to all sorts of human illness from autism to cancer and chronic fatigue syndrome. Fauci not only did not come to her defense he even threatened her with additional arrest. Fauci had the knowledge the opportunity and the responsibility to support the profound scientific findings of Dr. Judy Mikovits. He choose not to do so

Yes they will. Deaths per day will hit about 2,500 in a couple of weeks. That will convince all but the most mad of the FluBros.
That’s how it has been historically done in flu deaths. Gives pharmaceutical companies a better cash flow to mandate their cure and folks still get the flu.

Bad decision. After end of April what is next date? May , June ?. Wiil there be another 2 trillion dollar bailout? About 3;000 US deaths so far are holding 300 million US citizens hostage. Add another 2 trillion dollars and what does the ledger show. Assets 3,000 liabilities 300,000,000 people, plus 2 trillion dollars. By any standards, accounting or otherwise this stinks.
