A second cadet has been found dead at the U.S. Air Force Academy, days after officials reported that a firstie who was due to graduate in May had died.
Cadets and staff were told in an online briefing on Saturday of the latest death at the Colorado Springs, Colo.-based academy, several members of the institutions community told Stars and Stripes, asking not to be named because they were not authorized to comment on the incident.

Had a bad time there, eh?
My nephew graduated in 1994 from USAFA.
Maybe they didnt get the slot he wanted. He found out he was going to be in missiles. Just got it over with quicker.
With two months left? I didnt go to USAF, but I went to #5 on the list. Two months left you are walking on air.
Finals are a month away. This was not academic or academy stress.
This was literally the soft spot after three and a half years.
This was some other craprelationship, drugs, bad behaviors.
Everyone had a bad time there and then magically look back on it fondly 20 years later.
I remember the whole student body being guinea pigs for the swine flu vaccine. Almost everyone was sick. They cut the strength 100 fold for the general population. I wonder if the same thing is going on now with this new virus.
You are getting down to crunch time and the temptation to either hype yourself up or to take something so you can sleep is tremendous.
And will get you kicked out if they find it in your system.
And if that happens you get a large bill for your schooling.

I remember that as well. 1 day you’re doing fine in PT, then the shots. Couldnt do a decent set of pushup for a solid week. Barely made it through the runs as well. Some sort of adverse reaction to the shot. Summer of ‘77.
