Roberts is a Bush League Republican.
All they care about is turning the USA into North Mexico.
By any means necessary.

This ruling gave more power to the Leftist Fifth Circuit. It made it possible for deported criminals to file for a new trial in this country with the US taxpayers paying all costs involved with the rehearing process, including living expenses. Bet you didnt know you were so generous to illegal crooks.

I had friends from Taiwan that followed the law...it took them 25 years to get their family here. For me the illegals are like breaking into the bank because they didn’t want to wait until payday. Thanks to the cheap labor express, they have far more opportunities than any other culture on the planet. Enough is enough!

It was a 7-2 opinion about the doctrine of equitable tolling. I'm a lawyer and even my eyes glaze over thinking about the intricacies of equitable tolling.
I think I'll save my outrage for something more outrageous.

This was a bad and sad week for constitutional patriots.
The only cure for America may well come down to number 82.

This decision/opinion by the court cements the fact now that some crimes pay and handsomely rewarded under the guise of a pandemic.
1774 or 1789, take your pick.

So in short, is this decision good or bad?
It's from the "Center for Immigration Studies". I've never heard of them, but they sound like a far-left wing advocacy group.
The article is long-winded with a whiny tone, so I'm going with...
Good.

I think CIS is right leaning, IIRC.

All you had to do is read the first couple of sentences describing the court granting judicial review to ILLEGAL aliens who are GUILTY the second they cross the darn border without going through proper protocols.
This is like ordering the Legislative and Executive Branches to create laws and procedures to grant judicial review to individuals involved in the Pearl Harbor attack in 1941. Yeah i am going there because this is an economic invasion/attack when looking at the long-term carnage.

The Fifth Circuit is actually one of the most conservative court of appeals in the country.

You know I am not fond of George HW Bush but I can forgive some because he gave us Justice Thomas. The man is a national treasure.
Now if we could just get another nine just like him.

The U.S. Supreme Court vacated and remanded the 5th Circuit's ruling with a 7-2 vote in favor of Lasprilla and Ovalles.
Justice Stephen Breyer delivered the opinion of the court. Chief Justice John G. Roberts and Justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan, Neil Gorsuch, and Brett Kavanaugh joined the opinion. Justice Clarence Thomas wrote a dissenting opinion joined, in part, by Justice Samuel Alito

I think CIS is right leaning, IIRC. I'd guess you're correct. Former Board members include Carole Iannone and Bay Buchanan.
To: polymuser
Roberts was on the pro-illegal immigrant majority. Im shocked, I tell ya!Are you shocked that Gorsuch and Kavanaugh were also in the majority?
