Republican and Democratic senators unanimously voted to pass a coronavirus relief bill late Wednesday that gives $350,000,000 to assist refugees and migrants.
Earlier this week, it was revealed that House Speaker Nancy Pelosis relief package would include $300,000,000 for refugee assistance.
The new bill, approved by the Senate and now headed to the House, includes an additional $50 million on top of Pelosis initial $300 million for refugees.
On page 817 of the 880-page bill, the measure calls for an additional amount for Migration and Refugee Assistance, $350,000,000, to remain available until expended, to prevent, prepare for, and respond to coronavirus.

Greed I think just like the dems...both sides of the isle in congress needs to face the same f__ing sq__d! Whose mc connell married to anyway? They (95%) all become compromised and crooks given enough time....
This bill for this 1/2 crocked up CV proves THAT if nothing else, beyond a shadow of no doubt!

I see the monetary policy as relatively harmless as the Federal Reserve can undo it’s actions. They can sell any bonds bought back no the street. They can raise rates. They can unprint money simply by reversing the techniques they use to print it.
Riscal stimulus to the extent that it’s loans tend to get paid back with interest. So I’m not worried about loans.
art of direct payments does flow back to the US government automatically through income taxes. The distributions are probably taxable. When they spend the money, they labor component that they spend it on pays taxes too. So there’s a multiplier effect that sends a portion of the money back to US Gov each time it’s spent. I estimate that eventually could be a third of the direct payments.
The question isn’t whether the Trillions are good for us. There’s no question that the world before Coronavirus and counter measures was better than after Coronavirus.
But we play the hand we are dealt. Coronavirus is here. The right question is “What do we do now.”. Letting the economy nearly die and recover on it’s own, seems a poor choice, given that we do have tools to help it.
Doubly stupid comment; thank God we have a President who is unselfish, helping all Americans, and is not stupid or blind to reality,
Good Post.
I guess we can borrow all those trillions from ... CHINA!
That’s $350 mil that could toward PPE, ventilators, more hospitals or pockets of Americans who have lost pay in good faith. Stick it their eye
IS THIS NOT THE LEFT ADMITTING THAT WE COULD NOT AFFORD THE INFLUX OF ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS AFTER ALL??
That is real lesson here. If Americans dont want this kind of porkulus, then they have stop voting Democrats into power. The voters gave the House to them and put 47 Democrats in the Senate. The voters gave them power and theres not a damned thing the administration or Republicans can do about that except commit mass suicide.
Thanks, Democrats. Thanks for putting Nancy and her crew back in power.
I sure hope there was no extra effort put in to helping those destroyed under the Boosh / Obama crash. Oh, they were forgotten long ago. Never mind.
As a guest on Dan Bongino’s podcast said. For 2 trillion dollars we could stop collecting taxes on every tax payer and every small business in America and we would have to worry about funding anything.
If we’re going to blow a hole in the deficit, do it without giving away any money.
If they spent that amount for building housing for the criminals they release, how would that go for flipping out?
AND NOT A PENNY FOR FOR THE WALL.

History will not be kind to us either. Future generations will study how the WW2 generation sacrificed for future generations. Then they’ll contrast it to this generation that, when under crisis, chose to hide in place while financing it on the backs of our children and grandchildren. Awful.

Bull-squeeze. The WWI+ crowd came home....& voted IN every Socialist Leftist & gobbled up every program/edict: Gold confiscation, Fed. Rsv, Income Tax, Social Security, “Jobs” programs, EXPLOSION in the size/scope of Fedzilla...
The Republic went down w/o a shot fired.

Republicans caving to Democrats is par for the course.
They are, after all, the party that occasionally resists new crap but never rolls back old crap.
With compromise in one direction only selling us out is simply what theyre gonna do sooner or later.
>
Resists NEW crap? WTF?? They’re the ones that GAVE us: Patriot Act, NSA, NCLB (I thought they planked they wanted to ABOLISH the DoEd, not BUILD it), TSA+ along w/ a multi-year’d “We PROMISE, if elected, to abolish O’Care”.
That’s OK, it’s just our progeny under a never-ending, unconstitutional, illegally produced economic enslavement.
Same ones griping will be pulling the (R) lever, election after election, getting that ‘lesser of 2 evils’ evil into office (ala def. of ‘insanity’) *DERP*
It’s not called the Stupid Party for no reason
I did say occasionally.
>I did say occasionally.
;)
I’m still trying to remember that ‘occasion’
Spend the $350 million helping them with border enforcement.
