"Comparing countries" is like comparing Apples to Oranges because some have more test kits and more reliable testing, than others.

Some countries outright lie.

Other countries are so primitive they have practically no testing - so "no CoVid" cases reported.

Hard to know what the true incidence or mortality rate is, at this point....

The mortality rates we have been quoted seem overblown. Compared to "seasonal" flu, sounds like the Covid "rate" will turn out lower. Will anyone be held accountable for shutting down the whole economy?????

Given that EU member states have completely independent, and widely differing healthcare systems, and are now pursuing widely differing policies in tackling C19, it’s difficult to see the logic of doing that as a comparison. Healthcare is an area of European life (not the only one, by the way) which the EU does not regulate.
